Thank You Veterans

🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲 Big thanks and appreciation to our VETS and my ( still living ) Uncle who served in Vietnam 1967. This F4 Phantom was actually his. It is shown here with one "kill" however back in the day there were no kills on it. The F4 is on display at Pima in Tucson AZ. Also shown is a WWII B17 flying Fortress. It is a symbol of how great America is. Many men paid the ultimate price in these but, without them life as we know it would probably not exist. The country came together and built these is a short amount of time.View attachment 38843View attachment 38841View attachment 38842

Very cool, loved watching the F4 launch, the roar of its engines & afterburners was wicked. Pima is a must see museum, it’s fricking awesome, just do not go in the summer heat, your face will melt off lol

I think I have Stockholm’s syndrome because I hate this bird with burning fire, but it does look cool. That’s a few back on a deployment. Also, I’m just a mechanic on it… I get paid great for what I do.

All that to say, thanks to those that do or have done something. It takes a little bit of crazy to actually do this crap

But it’s unreal for a huge beast, was lucky enough to fly on a MH53J in Korea as well as shoot a few hundred 50cal rds off the rear gunners position

Yeah. Might recognize that air strip then. They just refinished it because they didn’t like the oil slicks the 53 makes.

Was flying out of K2/Taegu, the PaveLow was out of Kadena

Its cool and the Warthogs come and go in sets of three, once and a while there is a hot dog pilot in one of them and shows off like in top gun.

Most people who visit the famous northern viewpoint of the Golden Gate Bridge never look at this beautiful statue dedicated to the hundreds of thousands of US servicemen who passed under the bridge.

What really struck me, in addition to almost everyone ignoring this poignant memorial to thousands of our finest sons who didn’t return, is that this site is a microcosm of the shithole this country is becoming. The parking lot has many signs warning you not to leave valuables in your car and there were multiple piles of broken car glass.

This is indicative of the assholes who come here now…

Never saw that statue before, but it was night when we stopped and I was getting really ugly vibes from the people around us, so we jumped back in the car and went north

How does one travel in a vehicle and not leave valuables in it? I mean when we stop, do we grab our suitcases, cooler and everything & try to drag it with us?

Anyone else in here need some help?
