Mickey Thompson Baha Boss All Terrain Tires

Any more updates or pictures on the Mickey Thomson Baja Boss AT? I have narrowed it down to either the Baja Boss AT or BFG KO2 in the 305/70R18 size.

I'm really wanting to see how they do this winter, have not been happy with the K02's in deep snow or on icy/snow packed roads & since we do lots of winter driving & tend to hit Regina and Edmonton in the winter a great winter tire is a must.

Have been told the stock Tremor tires are really good in the winter, so we shall see this winter how good they are.

I have a fresh set of the Baja ATs that i received last week 37 12.5 20s wrapped around some Method 606. Unforunately no truck to put them on yet. Thus, they are in 'The Pile' that many of us have.

They look great fwiw. I can try to post a picture later this afternoon.

Ran the Rubicon and many trails in Moab including Pritchett with the Baja Boss M/T. They are great off-road but they’ve barely been used on pavement so I can’t say much there.

Look great on the Jeep though.

Love the Mickey Thompsons. Here are more pictures. My dogs feel a new sense of cool 😎 with the M/Ts on their truck.

Yes, I updated the post.

When you going? I’ll be back in April 2022 hopefully with my new Jeep build 500HP on 40’s.

No set time, all depends on when the Tremor comes in, but more then likely later in the fall when it cools down as we tent camp

Something tells me the Tremor will have issues on Metal Masher Lol

I wouldn’t try widow maker with it.

I saw this guy (non-tremor) on Hells revenge, offered to winch him up the gate but he didn’t try it.

Did Hells Revenge in a 97 F250 Powerstroke diesel during EJS 99 & people said it was impossible, just had BFG/MT’s on it and a Detroit Locker, just put it in 4low and away we went

My wild days are fading in the rear view mirror, just want to take the nice slow non technical trails we have never done that lead to some of the best views, forget the name of the trail that goes below canyonlands NP, that you can stretch out into a 2 day trail run, just so much to see in the area.

Elephant hill?
White Rim?
Hole in the rock? (That’s further out than canyonlands, but a great trail)

Howdy, so mine have arrived and are installed and wanted to touch on a few things that I didn't see mentioned before, and reiterate others. First thing I noticed off the pallet were how much weight they took to get balanced. Between 5-10 ozs each. These are big heavy tires. I have the 305-70-18. They are about 5/8" taller (while mounted on truck with weight on the tires and inflated) than stock Duratracs. They are about 1 1/2" wider on the tread block outer edges. And those tread blocks! They are larger and beefier than what pictures convey. The shoulder lugs, for example, are larger than those on the Duratracs. The spacing and voids between blocks are larger as well. Larger than Duratracs, Falken and KO2. These are closer to MT's in appearance than AT's. Definitely a hybrid tire. And the side biters on the side wall? Best in the business. Makes all other tires look bald in comparison. These are definitely ready for the off road and look like they are up for the challenge. So with all that aggressiveness, how much does it give up in road manners? Well, remember that it is 3 mountain peak snowflake rated, so harsh weather isn't an issue like an MT. So far, they ride really cushy, more so than Duratracs and less road noise. No wonder or pull at all. They have 50k mile warranty, so should not wear quickly either. I really like the way they drive and look so far. I have had a lot of tires over the years and I am very critical about them. So far it looks like Mickey Thompson really hit this one out of the park and is perfectly matched with the Tremor and its intended uses.

Well I'm back...
I tried another set of these after the first would not balance out... This time on Method NV HD 18" +18 wheels.
This set balanced out much better than the first and the ride is pretty smooth. Not perfect but pretty good.
Love the look of these tires, and would have gone a different route if I found something in the 35" in range that was as big, or looked this good. But 18" is a goofy size for many of the tires I like.
Road manners are good, not as good as the Ridge Grappler. Noise is less than the Duratrac. I think they'll be decent in the snow too.
