My wife and I have a german shepherd and a border collie, and as you can imagine they love going for rides, the back seat is lifted up and we put some pet beds on the floor in the back. They still always put their paws on the center console and on the doors when they look out the window, so I found some things on amazon that are working wonders.....

I ordered the 27x17, they fit perfectly and totally protect the side doors.

It is a removable and washable fabric cover that again keeps the leather protected from their claws.

Lastly unrelated to pets, but
I got this swing away box, it mounted in about 30 minutes and works perfectly under my bakflip MX4.

I had this in the back seat of my 2015 F250 and it’s in the back of the Tremor now. It’s easy to put in and take out so it’s not a hassle to deal with and it cleans up pretty easily, I’ll just hose it down on the back deck and let It dry.

I usually just leave it in, but it folds up and tucks under the seat nicely if I’m putting people in the back.

This is the exact thread I needed to see! Been on Amazon since I got my truck trying to find what’ll work for my two Labradour Retriever’s.

@Bill could you share a picture of the link you provided installed on your truck with the seats folded up, that’s how I intended to use something similar. I’ll owe you a beer!

We have that hammock setup in our Jeep GC, didnt think it would fit well in the truck, yea please share a pic of how it looks in the truck, I would consider putting it at a base under our current dog beds/blankets.

I have been using this on my 2001 350 with seats down
Still waiting on delivery of my new Tremor
just ordered a new one
I have 2 Border Collies and it works great sides zip up so all the hair is contained in the hammock they can look out windows and see us because of the mesh divider
easy to clean just hose off

I just snapped a few pictures at the office. I don’t use the “hammock” feature, but took a pic with the end up over the drivers’ head rest to show that you can do it if you want. I just leave it draped over the front of the rear seat.

I have a nice padded mat/blanket from Cabelas its water resistant and the fur stays on it pretty well. It cleans up nice.

Our solution that’s worked for over 5k miles of driving with the dogs this summer has been a dog seatbelt. My wife actually sells them on Amazon (shameless plug). If anyone buys one, be sure to select the buying options and make sure you select the fulfilled by “Samson and Harley Pet Products.” We are having an issue with copycat sellers claiming to sell our product, but they end up shipping imitations.
I also love the seatbelt option because it allows me to roll with the windows down and not worry about the dogs. We can also setup the rv and leave the truck doors open at each site and not have to worry about dogs jumping out into traffic or disturbing other campers.

I have two hammock style covers, one to cover the back of the driver passenger seats, and the other for the back seat with the seats folded up, so the dogs have the entire flat/floor area to lay on.

The dog always has her harness on in the car and I always clip the short leash to a seatbelt buckle so she can wander around enough, even jump to the ground but wont ever get away from the truck until its unclipped.

Just ordered a couple sets.

This is my plan, seats folded up, dogs get the whole back seating area. Did you find one hammock style wasn’t large enough?

Awesome :D Happy to hear feedback (good or bad) that we can use to improve the product!

I just bought 3. I have the seat hammock from Amazon above but it doesn't take much for any of them to step over it and be in the front seats. I will be using them later this month.

I had a chocolate lab for 13 years and have had my GSD for 3.5 years. My dogs always had free roam in all my vehicles. Front seat, back seat, sports cars, jeeps, trucks, etc. For my last F250, my wife sewed a “dog hammock” for the back seat which was nice. This still didn’t help the hair problem or scratches on doors problem.

When we got the Tremor, I decided for both the dogs safety, our safety, and to keep the truck in good shape, we would get a kennel. We bought this kennel at Bass Prop Shop and it has worked perfect. While he has always loved riding in vehicles (like most good boys), I wasn’t sure how he would like the kennel.

Wow was I surprised. He absolutely loves the kennel in the car. He gets just as excited to leave and go on car rides, and once he’s in there, he calms down super fast and is just quiet for the trip durations. We’ve done several 4-5 hour trips and he is perfect in there. We’ll be doing a couple 14 hour trips soon, and I have no concerns that he won’t continue to do excellent.

The one I posted above works for both positions
Thanks I really like that one but the big size is only available in grey... I wonder if 56” wide will cover, I would think it will since I only intend on having the seats flip up.
