2021 Order Submitted

Good luck in your negotiations, many dealers are adding "market adjustments" to sell these trucks well over MSRP.

I went with diesel for several reasons. I will primarily use this truck for towing as well as the fact that they hold their value a little better than a gas model. Either way, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
I just ordered my F-250 Platinum Tremor in Silver with the Power Stroke. Every option but the wench. I wanted the wench but in NY we have a front License plate and couldn’t see it fitting. MSRP was a hefty $89,940. But my sales price came to $86,649. Plus I traded my 2010 Charger back in April for 5,200$. So I saved the tax with that also. So it was $81,450 plus tax and 100$ in fees. It finally came to $88,573. Crazy expensive but I’m so freakin Syched. I know another dealer said 500$ off MSRP would be the best he could do. I feel really good with the deal I got.
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh

I saw your order sheet and it says you got the 2021. I love the Star White with the Blacked out package. It’s going to be a sweet ride. Best of luck with it. What are you thinking sometime around Thanksgiving.

I’m sychrd for you. I’ve been trying to order a 2021 Tremor for weeks now waiting for my dealer to say I can come in. I order a 2020 Platinum F350 in April. I traded in my 2010 Dodge Charger and put 4K down. Now that’s 9200$ and waited for my build to start. In July I was told my build was going to start in a couple of weeks I said I wanted out. I now want a 2021 model. Salesman and sales manager weren’t happy but I said I’m all in with a 2021 model. So after test riding a F350 Platinum Diesel and then test riding a Lariat F250 Tremor 7.3L I’m ready to go and get me the F250 Platinum Tremor Silver for sure.
I would like to get me a Diesel but still not sure. Diesel was 700-1000 lbs heavier. I’m ok with spending the money if I make the right decision. I never owned a pick up before but I want trailer or 5th wheel an RV and my Harley. We don’t really go off roading on LI NY but beaches are all over the place.
I was an IRONWORKER putting up crazy skyscrapers in NYC area, and now done with the hard labor. I’m absolutely looking to get off LI and off road this sick ass truck I want to build and travel to Sturgis, Nevada, Texas, and California with a 5th wheel and one of my Harleys. So what are your views on Diesel or Godzilla gas engine. And in April I was getting 5K$ off MSRP because the dealership was closed and they were desperate for sales. I’m not expecting to pay MSRP and have to negotiate a sales deal tomorrow.
Not looking forward to it since I’m in a tuff position with 9200$ being held up with them for 4 months. Any advice with engine and negotiations.
I’m new to this forum so forgive my long ass message.
you're not towing much of a 5th wheel if you get the tremor 250 diesel. You'll have very little payload, maybe a little over 2K lbs...that needs to support all passengers and the hitch weight of your 5th wheel. those can range from over 1200lbs to 3000lbs. You need to get the 350 if you're serious about hauling a 5th wheel unless you just don't care about the legality of the weights. F250 is a truck whose existence makes almost no sense.

Thats awesome! thank you! I dont know about you guys. But i hate moon roofs. i feel like every tremor has a moon roof and not the 360 camera. I would think it would be reverse

I specifically ordered my Tremor without the moon roof.

Thanks, I think it's gonna be a great ride. I think I'll be lucky to see it this year. I should probably get a VIN in the next week or two and can start looking for the build date.

I went with the F250. I test road a F350 a as nd it felt like a tank. I’m going to get a Carli 2.5 pin top suspension with an airbag setup. That should increase my payload correct. I watched a lot of Utube videos to see mods I can do. The CJ Customs videos are awesome. They’re in California. I’m all the way on Long Island NY. I only saw 1 place that’s called the truck shop and want to see what they can do to my truck to make it ride the best it can be. If you get a chance check out their builds. But thanks Brother Man for the heads up. I saw your response after I came back from the dealer. I’m so F-cking syched. I didn’t know if can show my enthusiasm with an F Bomb on this site. I’m new and don’t want to offend anyone. I’m a New York City Iron Worker. There’s slot of cursing on the job sites. Not offsive just construction talk. Oh well F-CKING SYCHED FOR MY PURCHASE.

Check out CJ Custom builds not the truck shop. Truck shop seems cheesy.

interesting. In what way did the 350 feel like a tank? was it just to stiff and jarring on the road? I've not driven either yet, but knowing my towing plans a 350 is a necessity as I don't want to find myself needing to put money into it after the fact. Also not sure if adding after market suspension will change your payload sticker so getting in a wreck while over gvwr is too much of a risk to me, personally.

Regardless, the 250 is obviously a lot more capable than the sticker indicates so it's mostly just a liability thing.....i'm very risk averse as I have shitty luck.

Good luck though, make sure to post lots of pics when your truck comes in!

Good off road review of the 2 motors.
good video, saw this the other day. Gasser def makes more sense if your priority is off road use.

I also heard in ca diesel is supposed to smog each year. That alone would steer me to gas.

The F350 weighed I think close to 11,000lbs. It was a VERY HEAVY ride. It spun the tires even with the weight. But my wife and I both said it felt like a tank. F-250 felt like I could ride this as an everyday vehicle. Felt beefy as it was a Tremor. Now the F-250 I test road did have the 7.3L gas engine which is a lot lighter. I believe it was 7200lbs lbs. but with a diesel it’s going to closer to 8,000 lbs I think. I’d love to know to be sure the weight if anyone knows. I also saw something on line that said if you drive a F350 and are towing 24,000 lbs in certain states you need a CDL but if you tow the same amount in a F-250 you don’t. But F-250 is 21,000lbs from 5th wheel and 15,000lbs from the hitch it states. I also saw that you can haul more than what it states with a F-250. But I never towed anything. My first pick up. And me being a suburban Dude my whole life, that Reverse Back up assist is perfect for my Green Ass.
but I’ll learn. Also my friends old lady is my insurance agent and said the difference from a F-250 to a F350 was a lot as it pertains to a commercial vehicle in my state. Now the ins played no role in my decision. It was what the ride felt like for me.

no...2 years like any car and it's a visual inspection only. they check to make sure you have no deletes or new maps and visual check to see that there's no smoke and a catalytic converter is in place.

So your a green new deal guy. I’m old school but shit we are messing this planet up. I did question how long will Diesel fuel be sold in our country especially if the Democrats take the White House. But I bought a Diesel and I’m F-CKING SYCHED. Sorry to the planet. And to all who trying to save the planet. I’m not a D-Ck but I did just drop A LOT of money on my new truck.

Diesel isn't going anywhere any time soon. The entire commercial trucking business runs on it. Modern diesels are pretty clean and get much better gas mileage. At the end of the day a diesel might be cleaner than the gasser. Per given volume of fuel a diesel will put out like 13% more CO2, but get a lot better mileage. If anything, a diesel and gas probably have negligible emissions differences.

Cool. Like I said I’m so green. So thank you everyone for sharing. This site is excellent.

Smog shop owner said every year. Maybe it’s for older trucks.
New gas cars are every 4. I haven’t had to smog in forever. New cars 09-12-15-16-19.

Not even close. Man made global warming is not real and made up to give a few control of the world through agenda 21 signed by Bush 41. Great video below shows how stable the climate is despite humans and fuel used. https://www.mediatheque.lindau-nobel.org/videos/31259/the-strange-case-of-global-warming-2012

I just don’t like taking my time and money smogging a vehicle that runs great. Every 4 years is too much for me let alone every damn year. I’m glad new trucks it’s only 2.

You see I didn’t even know what smogging a vehicle meant. So I will learn. That’s why this forum is great for me. I’m sure I’m going to make people chuckle with my dumb ass answers at times. It’s alright. But can’t wait till Thanksgiving to really learn what it means to be a Proud Diesel Truck Owner.

Did something change recently? I've only lived in CA for about 2 years but I could have sworn passenger cars got smogged every other year and same with non commercial diesels...I'll have to poke around the DMV site a bit. I know if you get over 11499 gvwr you're in a different reg tier, not commercial but it's a different reg, and maybe that pushes the smog frequency up?

I think this is what I was looking at before, maybe it's outdated: https://www.smogtips.com/diesel-smo...here will be no tailpipe emissions inspection.

A smog is like $40 at test only places so if that's the only issue it's not nearly enough to stop me from getting the 6.7. I really can't wait to move back to real America and out of this commie cesspool though. All the sunshine in the world isn't worth the never ending money grab from Sacramento and all the liberal BS in this state.
