Tremor Buff
Why is Warn Winch option unavailable when getting 4.10 axle? Is it do to air flow for radiators? Or is there an additional radiator blocking space required for the winch? All other axles you can install the winch.

Correct, it was originally restricted to the Tremor. In April this year they announced it would be available beyond the Tremor:I haven’t been paying close attention since I purchased mine in 2020 but, originally, the winch was only available with the Tremor package and that was only available with 3.55 or 4.30 axle ratios. Not sure if that’s still the case or not.
Available as a factory-orderable option or dealer-installed accessory, the winch can be added to optional 7.3-liter gas V8 or 6.7-liter Power Stroke® V8 diesel-powered 2020 or newer 4x4-equipped F-250 and F-350* Super Duty pickups with available dual batteries and dual 397-amp alternators.
*Not available with F-350 DRW equipped with 4.10 rear gearing
For build and price I’ve found the one on nadaguides to be the most accurate. Plus it gives you invoice and msrp for every option and total build. The online build and price has been known to be inconsistent. I wouldnt take anything it says as fact.
Yes to both. Factory can't install due to 4.10 axle. I didn't care at the time of ordering. I thought I would just put aftermarket winch. Since it would be way cheaper. But after looking at all the options out there I like the clean look of the warn winch. When looking up the install info for warn on super-duty. It said no install on f-350 with 4.10 axle or F-450 with aux radiator. I'm wondering if due to 4.10 axle adds aux radiator to the truck? Or is an air issue for the radiators due to high load tow capacity 35000lbs.... If the answers to both is no. Then I will just install it myself. I just don't want to have truck overheat while towing. I have ordered f350 dully with 4.10 axle. Hopefully will get it by end of the year.Have you checked the order guide? Are you seeing it as incompatible on the Ford build site? Or did your dealer tell you this when configuring the truck in WBDO?

The weird thing is if I had ordered the DRW with 3.55 axle. I can also order the winch. I guess I will have wait for the truck to what space is available. Maybe there putting in a larger radiator for aux with 4.10 axle. The DRW trucks all have aux radiators that intrude down into the space where the winch is to be installed. The problem isn't the axle ratio. The problem is that you are ordering a DRW. The winch is SRW only 2020MY+
You’re right. I thought it was all DRW, but it’s just the 4.10. My bad.The weird thing is if I had ordered the DRW with 3.55 axle. I can also order the winch. I guess I will have wait for the truck to what space is available. Maybe there putting in a larger radiator for aux with 4.10 axle.
Thanks for the update! That's super interesting to hear about the extra radiator!Update. I received my truck. If you order 4.10 axle for F350 you also receive additional radiator where the Warn Winch would normally be installed. I believe it for the transmission to allow for additional towing capacity. Mine is just under 35,000 lbs. Looks like I could move it and still get the winch but not sure it would be worth it at this time.
But that’s for the DRW right? Pretty sure I configured a SRW F350 Tremor with Warn winch and 4.10’s without issue.Update. I received my truck. 4.10 aren't available on the 350 Tremor. It is 4.30 with the gas engine. But that’s for the DRW right? Pretty sure I configured a SRW F350 Tremor with Warn winch and 4.10’s without issue.
I have DRW plus 4.10. But it mainly has to do with towing weight. My truck has the highest towing rate available 35,000 lbs (depending on the weight inside truck). Looks like I can move the extra radiator and then install the winch. But it could void the power-train warranty. Need to do more research. But that’s for the DRW right?
