Dual batteries comes with the 6.7 standard (no charge).Just wondering if I should add the dual batteries to my build.
Thanks in advance for the responses.
Yeah, if you select that option it will kick you to a gas engine.Dual batteries comes with the 6.7 standard (no charge).
The 397A alternator option on the other hand is actually two separate alternators. I added that on my build.
Exactly. If you have any thought at all that you might add the Ford winch to your truck in the future you definitely want the 397 amp alternators. Will make your life easier if you interact through a dealer for the winch.

My reasoning too…Exactly.
This is why the rapid supplement heater for $250 added to your build is a no brainer as it includes 397 amp alternator.

I did order the rapid heater. So I should be good. Actually I ordered it on 8/2To echo @Accuracy International, just get the supplemental or rapid heater (whatever it’s called) and it will set you up for whatever you might want in the future. Plus, I’m guessing being in Ohio you see reasonably cold winters, the supplemental heat is definitely a plus because the diesels take a long time to get up to temperature in the dead of winter. Good luck and you will love a new Super Duty/Tremor if you order one.
I think he means if you select dual batteries on the online build your ford deal, it will make you select the 7.3L engine. As mentioned, dual comes standard on the 6.7L. There's weird thing on the online builder so I don't go by that at all. I wasn't allowed the 6.7L diesel and the PTO option with a platinum build (online builder). Obviously, you can get a PTO with the diesel. Weird stuffNot sure what option you mean? I have the dual batteries and the 397A dual alternators on my diesel.
Even though I live in Texas, I wanted the aux heat, the heated steering wheel and the rear seat heaters...
Yeah man, you’re golden!I did order the rapid heater. So I should be good. Actually I ordered it on 8/2
Geez....I ordered those too with some other extras....I bought several options primarily because they are fairly inexpensive to add when ordering the truck but would be a pain to add later. I did:
Dual Alternators
Supplemental Heat
5th wheel prep
Upfitter switches
Block heater
