I drive my truck daily so I’m not sure what this is about. Any ideas?

I believe it's saying it's disabled the onboard FordPass cellular radio because it's detected low battery voltage.

I get it all the time but I leave my truck for long periods, another reason I wish I had the dual batteries. I'm surprised you're getting it it you drive it daily.

I just did a remote start and it started.

Strange. I know you are limited to two remote starts and then have to use a key. Or that’s how mine is.

Did you use the key or the App? FordPass has nothing to do with the key in case you used that.

Yeah I use the fob to remote start. I’ll try the app real quick.

Yeah app will not work.

That’s odd... maybe let it ride for 1 day and then panic. I’ve had my ford app freeze up on me while doing a remote start but never a msg like that.
It's not the app, it's saying the truck has disabled the onboard cellular radio. It does this so it doesn't drain your battery. It will re-enable it once the battery is charged again.

Ok but why? I drive it every day. I’ve only been home for about 3 hours.

Hmmm, it's a bit odd I think, but maybe it's just a feature (like a screen saver) and you are just getting that message because you are running the app when the truck hasn't been started for x number of hours and it's only for informational purposes to let you know. I dunno, just guessing.

I advised someone several days ago to use remote start (on a programmed schedule) with FordPass to start their truck twice a week to keep their battery charged. He doesn't use his truck often so I thought that might be a good solution. Will this feature only work twice in that scenario or is it twice-in-a-row and then after a certain period it resets???

Is it colder than normal, shorter runtime than usual.... ie anything that would cause a lower battery voltage? Seems quite odd considering you have the diesel with dual batteries.

It could also just be a 'generic' message that is thrown when the app hasn't detected a ping from the truck or vice/versa and it thinks it has lost connection so just throws that warning.

If it keeps happening for seemingly no reason then maybe a trip to the dealer will be necessary.

Does the truck have the battery protection where if you leave a light on, it disables it to prevent draining the battery? Maybe it was a simple left a door cracked or a map light on? Just tossing out ideas.

Doesn't reset....2 starts without fob is all you get. Only resets with fob start.

Yeah I tried the scheduled starts and I'd go out and the truck never started. Has done this multiple times and it just seems odd.

Mine does that all the time. It can sit for days, as I try not to drive it in this shitty salty roads. Once you start it manually with the push button it resumes normal behavior .

So I got this warning when my truck was in the shop for a month but this was after a week and a half of not being started I was remote starting it with my phone to scare the shop which it did ... But also to make sure the batteries didn't die but I have the dual batteries and 397 alternators but haven't had the issue since ... I drive mine at least once a week

I got the message when my truck sat for nearly 2 weeks. Its not an issue. All is good.
