So from my understanding, the back windows come from Ford at 18%. A 20% tint upfront gets it close, but 15% is a match (due to light coming in from the windshield). As far as legality, California doesn't allow any tint up front, but most states I believe allow about 35%. I'm not tooo concerned with a match because I think even 35% in front is pushing it. I'm also considering doing a 70% windshield with some UV protection which always darkens up the sides also.

What have ya'll added in the back, front, and windshield?

18% on mine wish it was darker but I can still see pretty good at night. Not legal here in WI but haven't had any law issues.

20% on the front. You can tell it is a little bit lighter but it depends what angle you are looking at it. I think you can go to 5% here in AZ, but I don't need them that dark.

I did 5% on the rears and 20 on the front and you don't get a ticket for tint unless they are really looking to give you a ticket for something... People in md have 20% on the front windshield .... And cops does care ... But the law says 35 front and you can do whatever on the rear in md

The last picture really give you a idea 9f how dark my rear windows are to the front but I also did the ceramic tint and it super cool in the truck and you arm doesn't get cooked ... I have this problem in my f150

It's crazy how much the angle of the picture can affect the tint because the 20% in Chris's picture looks lighter than the 20% in Gumby's picture. It even looks like Gumby's has the windshield done, when Chris's should look darker because the 5% in the back would let less light into the fronts.

I went 70% on the front as I don't want to get ticketed. I just want the reduction in heat/UV. 30% on the backs which if I had to do again I would have gone 40% or 50%.

It really is crazy my f150 in this photo also has 20% all the way around I matched the rear but did the regular tint

Took this today Sun was going low about 4:00PM ( right into the windshield) the front and rear are pretty close in color.

I always go with 15% all around (minus the windshield) - it is a illegal here in Oregon to have anything less than 35% but luckily i have some connections in the medical field and I have a "prescription" for the darker tint... I get pulled over often, because of the dark windows, and I just hand them the prescription and I am on my way.

Might have to retint at a local place I love to go and get the best UV protection and heat resist capability. I got whatever the factory has or whatever the dealership got.

i love the cermic tint it cost more but it was worth it ... so much more cooler and the 5% on the back windows was dark but at night you can see fine ...with the fact people are running leds and shit

What percentage is the factory privary glass on the rear door windows and back window? I plan on getting Xpel XR Plus 70% on the windshield, and also on the rear door windows and back window. But I want to get the front door windows to match the rear door windows. XR Plus would be used for the front windows as well.

I ended up going 70% back (for like 15% total), 70% windshield, 30% front sides, 50% back sides (for like 10% total). The camel interior and the sunroof always open lightens it up a lot, so I definitely could have gone slightly darker. I'm comfortable knowing I shouldn't get pulled over at least.

20% from the factory.

20% from the factory.

Just an FYI my tint person said don’t do the sunroof. It’s a good idea to have heat escape.

I went with the darkest legal tint I could do with ceramic tint (25 front, 93 rears). Totally worth the money to block solar heat. I did that with all my cars. The tint on the front windows help a lot with the blinding headlights bouncing off the side mirrors.
