What does "Sent to Plant" mean on Status

I asked me dealer for an update on my 2021 order and here is what he sent me:

He said the status was just updated today and he should have more information tomorrow. My build week was supposed to be Jan 4, 2021.

Does anyone know what "Sent to Plant" means and if it really is in the KY truck plant or is that where it will be built?

When I got my status on 12/3, my Primary Status was "In production" and the Secondary Status was "Sent to Plant". They started Production on 11/30, so I am guessing, "Sent to plant" occurs first (Primary) and then when it goes "In Production" bumps "Sent to Plant" down to Secondary

Your printout didnt show up for me at first, but Dude, thats the same way mine read, You are Primary "In Production", it looks like they are building your truck! I know supposedly they take a two week holiday break, you should run your VIN through the online order checker, but it looks like you are missing some numbers.

I'd guess "sent to plant" means the order was sent from Ford to the actual plant to get ready for production. It's probably a short lived interim status before actual production begins.

I am curious an excited as to what it shows if you run your VIN at the tracking website. I also had the same build week as you.

Same here. I have the same build week of 1/4 from what the dealer told me but the ford site still only shows "Order Confirmed" as it did from the start.

Edit:
Maybe they just put 1/4 on all of them before leaving for the holidays and figured they would sort it out when the party was over.

I removed the rest of the VIN so no one will steal my truck!

Plus, my VIN has the sign of the devil with a "666" right in the middle... ?

Update: For the first time, I can see my window sticker! Does this mean it was built today? 12/16/20 ??

My Sticker says 11/30/20, which is the day my salesman said it was started. So, yes, I think today is your trucks Birthday.

HaHa! I was going to name it Ghost Tremor, but maybe the Devil Tremor would be more appropriate given the 666 VIN.

mine said sent to the plant a week before build date and got my window sticker a week before as well and was built on the day it was said it would be build but it also possible your build date was moved up because of the holidays

Here is the reply from my dealer when I asked if "Sent to Plant" meant it will be built before the scheduled week of 01/04/21:

Not always. Sent to the Plant means they have passed all the paperwork phase of this unit and have it scheduled for production.

He is the fleet manager for a large dealer in Texas and said they placed an order for 68 super duties the week before mine, so I am pretty sure he knows what he is talking about....

Not sure if I want it built right before Christmas, as people will be ready to check out for the holidays and might not do their best job!
