What discount (if any) should I be expect to receive for a Tremor on the dealer's lot?

Hey,

I'm more interested in finding a readily available Tremor that's on a dealer's lot. I believe I've seen a few people post here that they got 3% under invoice (not sure if it was ordered or not). Just based on my initial search, seems like most dealers are set on getting MSRP.

For folks who purchased a Tremor that was readily available on the dealer's lot, did you get under invoice? I'm in Texas, so that will probably play a part in this.

The sales rep at Stanley Ford Andrews asked for my home address to check for rebates. I gave her my zip code. She said that she needed the exact address for the BEST possible rebates because it varies by address. That just doesn't seem right to me.

Zip is all they need. They want full address to send you crap.

When I was searching just before covid and during the best I received was msrp out the door. I’m in Cali where it’s 10% for tax title license.
So about 8% off of msrp. Those was on trucks on the lot for more than 2 months.

I was ready to buy but could not find one on the lot in Louisiana. I bought mine from Two Rivers Ford in Tennessee in September. I got $5000 off of MSRP.

It really depends on the dealer. I have seen discounts as low as MSRP (some will not budge) and as high as $8000 off for Tremors sitting on lots. Most of them are somewhere in the middle.

The Tremor is a package that can be added to all of their trim options. (Maybe not an XL, but I have honestly never checked...) The Private Cash Offers (PCO) from Ford should not be taken into consideration when negotiating the best price from a dealer. The PCO money is not tied to the dealer and does not affect how much they make on a sale.

Mine was order out however they had a Blue Jeans XLT 7.3 Tremor that they had on sale. Was invoice or less. Kind of a base truck but it went super cheap. It was on the lot for a few weeks. They had the big "sale" price sticker on it.

On top of just below invoice I also got recent college grade $500 and some other $500 incentive the always run.

In the DFW area, got about $6k under MSRP last week on a Lariat Ultimate Sport Tremor 7.3L.

I didn't find very many in Texas during my search that were priced competitively. Most wanted MSRP or within $1k.

SoCal I got a little over 8% off MSRP, but as mentioned earlier, its California, so 10% back on top of that!

A few months ago Galpin Motors in Los Angeles had one that had just arrived. Dealer said there was no negotiating on it. ? $5,000 mark up on top of MSRP. Just waiting for that one sucka who doesn't know better.

My custom order was $500 under invoice, and $0 down. But I have a good, established relationship with my dealer.

Ok, hold it. They give you an 8% discount from MSRP and then, stack a 10% ADM on top of it? Why not just charge people a 2% ADM and be done with it?

I might have missed something but I think you mixed two posts...

Joseph was talking about required gov fees like sales tax, registration, & tire recycling.

Funnyman was talking about Galpin being a dumpster fire dealer with their sticker price + ADM on a 10k GVRW 6.7L high cap tow package F250 with about 1800# of payload.

OK, that "might" be it, but every state has requirements to pay sales tax and registration. I am not sure how CA can be an additional 10% for Gov't Fees like tire recycling, but I could be wrong...

I am also aware of the ADM costs of buying in CA from the Raptor Forum, so I am glad I live elsewhere!

CA state is 7.25% sales tax. If you are unfortunate enough to live in LA county then you start at 9.5% with the highest taxed city topping out at 10.5% sales tax. Registration on a 10k GVRW, $80k truck is about $750 a year. Tire recycling is roughly $9.

The ADM thing is definitely not universal to all CA dealers for this truck. I paid roughly 11% off sticker.

Ca sales tax is 8-9.5%. That’s most if the 10% we speak of. My registration was over $800 which is about 1.5% of purchase price.

In addition if you trade in a vehicle which the dealer gives you $100k on your trade you still have to pay taxes on you full purchase price unlike some states.

ok, you both have me beat! We pay a straight 6.25% state tax and no additional city taxes anywhere in Texas. (Our normal sales tax varies by city and county) This was done to make it fair across the state when buying new vehicles in any city. We also get to subtract the value of our trade-ins from the sales tax because we have already paid for it once. I rarely have a trade, so this does not benefit me.

Bet you want to move to ca. Where there’s more fires than electricity.

Someone buying an F250 6.7L Tremor w/ 10k GVWR and high cap tow package is probably just looking for a bro dozer truck so...
bro dozer to the mall crawl :ROFLMAO:
