What did you do to your Tremor today?

Got my console fridge installed today. It’s crazy how easy it was to install. Took less than 30 min from unboxing to clean up.

Finally got my XL Linkable installed and wired up. Ordered this thing before Christmas and before I ever took it out of the box sent it back to Baja Designs and had the upgrade the internals to the XL 80 lights. Unexpected benefit is that the four outside lights are controlled independent of the three center lights.

Huge shout out to @Nick@ApolloOptics for all his help along the way. From the order to sending them back to some wiring questions, his customer service is first class. I’ve come to expect nothing less when working with him.

This is the first item I’ve wired into my upfitter switches. I really wish Ford would have extended this upfitter wires 4-6 inches.

Need to tackle cutting the rear bumper now to install S2s. The kiddos will probably give me some time in another few months. 🤣
I know and love a pair of XL80s. Tough to imagine 7 of them. Curious but not sure I want to know how much the upgrade was.

PM sent.

I’m not sure what the rules are about posting vendor’s pricing here.

I originally order the lights from @Nick@ApolloOptics and went thru him for the upgrade. He made it super easy and I know would do the same for anyone else looking to make the swap.

This was not the plan when i started my day. I was simply planning to black out the exhaust pipe. But then i said why not the running boards, and then why not the tailgate handle while i’m at it. And so it progressed into a full black out day. I’ll post more photos later after i’m done.
I've been wanting to try something similar when mine comes in. Looks like it will turn out nice. Would love to see pics when you finish it up and everything dries

You probably already know this, but its 95% preparation and 5% spraying. I think the most important part besides covering up is to really sand down the chrome and on the exhaust sand down the galvanized steel. Otherwise the adhesion won’t be as strong and it will likely start flaking in 1-3 years. But if you sand it down with 60-100 grid and prime it well all should be good for many years to come.
Today i’m finishing the blackout job with the powerstroke badges. I’m doing one side to see how i like it, if i dont ill just peel it all off. I’ve purchased several amazon/ebay type badges and the quality is just not there. Its a cheap knock off that does not look as refined as the stock factory badge. So i figured plasti dipping it will give me a better result than removing original and replacing it with cheap knock offs.

Edit: 5 coats in i decided that i want to give it some texture. I never worked with rubber finishes before. It’s pretty cool to be able to manipulate it to your liking. It takes well to sanding in between coats, doesnt run as bad as paint.

This project turned out awesome, brother! We need a nighttime shot showing the output! If you use your phone, make sure to set the exposure to what is most accurate at your nighttime shot, then lock the exposure, then flip on your lights and take a second picture. 7 XL80s is a TON of light! And thank you again for your support!

Shoot me message, if you're interested. I have an XL Linkable kit in stock and we can send it in for an upgrade if desired!

Installed a 3.5” lift, 5” Banks Exhaust, and a Raptor Steering wheel. 😬

Haven’t put on the new wheels/tires yet.

I'm right there with you. I'll have to deal with the ugly factory one until something better comes around. My wife and I listen to the local radio a lot. She'd definitely not be happy if I ruined that. Lol
I use on if these. Decent reception, a little height helps. I would of been happy with something right about cab height. The stock one hits my garage door and the parking garage at work. So I went with this. I’ve never liked the super stubby style ones due to poor reception.

Very nice. How bad was the install?
Actually pretty good. Went to Upcountry Fab just west of Des Moines, in and out in two hours. Did not need to remove the bumper, some minor cutting on the lower valance and the trim pieces around the tow hooks to fit the supports. Trimming was good (I’ll touch up the edges a little when I get home), they paid careful attention to the install so no scratches or bumps. I’d have done it myself, but wanted it on for the 2000 mile road trip home.

30 minutes out of granger, had a ranch hand grill guard installed. Cause why would you wait!😁
The color matched grill is growing on me. It wasn’t an option on MY20s. It looks good on your truck.

Who's lift did you put in?
The lift I installed was many different brands together. I had many parts left from previous lifts, and purchased a few of the other parts the last 10 months waiting for the truck.

1 - RL 2.5" top coil spacers
2 - PC 1.0" Lower coil spacers and radius arm drop brackets
3 - RC Adjustable Track bar
4- BDS/FOX Dual Steering Stabilizer
5 - Brake line drop brackets
6 - Swaybar drop brackets
7 - RL 4" Fabricated rear blocks
8 - RC V2 Front Shocks
9 - FOX Resi 2.0 rear Shocks
