Well I did a thing today sold 21 Tremor ordered 22 Tremor

Well with this crazy truck market my brother inlaw was contacted by a dealership to sell them his 2017 F350 Lariat. Well he got more then when he paid for it in 2017.

Well I posted my to cargurus and within 2days a dealership made me an offer and then I countered and they accepted.

I had to drive an hour to the dealership because the gm wanted to see my truck before he made an official deal.

Well I sold it for 80k 4600miles. Only thing not stock was the wheels and tires and tinted windows. They then ordered me a 22 just the way I wanted my 21 and didn't get because of not know what the order codes all included and excluded. I got the new one ordered just below invoice.

Once again the long wait for the truck. I already got a conformation of order from ford. They said the 22 F250 shouldn't be effected by the chip shortage. Dealer said the placed a priority code with the order if there's such a thing.

Also wanted the Velocity Blue which is not available for 22's They were told at order time. So I went with iconic again.

Just thought I'd share this with this great forum.

I did the same thing sold my rapid red 350 tremor lariat value made out ok ordered an atlas blue 350 lariat ultimate with everything got my build week of 8/2 if the sticks I’ll have it early sept. The agonizing wait starts again. If your dealer submitted your info to covp you will get a priority over all stock orders.

I hope the dealer is right on the 2022 not being affected, I was told yesterday by my dealer that my 2022 Lariat which originally had an august build date was postponed/delayed until further notice..

I don't think scheduled orders are impacted by the delays. Unscheduled orders like mine were pushed back indefinitely. OP's dealer gave false information though, they should know better.

Yeah, strange but real. Auctions are like that. Their own worlds.

e.g. My local heavy equipment auctions are nuts in general too, but especially for the past ~9 months. Excavators with 1000+ hours going $10k over new price. ?

But one of the reasons BaT earns a justifiable premium is the length they go to pre-inspect vehicles and ensure satisfaction. As a casual consumer, it's the only auto auction I'd buy from. Which means supply is constrained for me. Which means I'll pay more.
 
I would trade-in if I could get a Velocity Blue 6.7 for the same cost net as my Iconic 7.3. But my wife hates the blue and the diesel so I'd need a replacement for that too.
