Hello everyone, I've been cruising around the forum for a while now. Love what you guys, and ladies, have going on here! Figured it was time to make a profile. I plan to order a 6.7L Lariat Ultimate Tremor in the next week or so. I am coming from a 2015 Sierra 1500 6.2L Denali and previously a Duramax. The only reason I got the Denali trim was because it was the only way to get the 6.2L at the time....and I am still missing the power, torque and towing efficiency of a diesel. I also started towing heavier loads for work and for recreation. Any recommendations on must have's or things to stay away from are greatly appreciated. I understand that everyone has different needs/uses from their truck but thought any incite would be helpful. I live in the mountains in Colorado so have already selected all the winter items, engine block heater, supplemental heater etc. I am on the fence about the carpet delete. I plan to check out a truck with the carpet delete before I order...I just don't want the interior to look tacky with the vinyl flooring but it would certainly be nice to be able to wipe everything down and vacuum dog hair that is impossible to get up from factory carpet. Any information or suggestions on options are greatly appreciated! Also any intel on actual purchase price versus MSRP on a percentage basis would be awesome! Thanks all!

Awesome Welcome

I would say to spend time building different models, build a KR and Build A Platinum and a Ultimate Lariat.

Search our forum for some of the adders like the heated steering wheel, de icer

Make sure your dealership has an allocation for a Super Duty and ask for a low priority code so you don't have to wait forever.

I paid 3% under dealer invoice and still got the $500.00 Ford bucks. Don't pay invoice or sticker. You can do much better. Even at invoice you can do better on the price.

good luck and keep us posted on your journey

Awesome, I appreciate the information. This is definitely not my first vehicle purchase but times have changed and our current climate of new and used vehicles is pretty hot. The days of 20% off are over for now. I will definitely keep you posted.

I have a ultimate/black lariat with the carpet delete. Glad I did it as it does make it so much easier to clean up. I still ordered a set of molded floor mats to make cleaning easier and to also keep the vinyl floor looking better and hopefully less warped over the years. At first I was hesitant on the carpet delete as I didn't get to see one without it but it doesn't look out of place to me and if you have carpet you'll see rubber/vinyl floor mats across most of the floor anyhow.

Congrats and welcome.

I wish I had the carpet delete, my carpet has fir needles and dog hair weaved in it. I do have a gasser, so please don't judge me!
It is a Lariat Ultimate, I do not have all the cameras nor the trailer assist. I do have the power running boards, love them, as does my better half, as she is a little short.
Mine has a block heater for some reason, I could live without the moonroof, I live on a long dirt road and I can never open it.

Oh, CO. has a Farm Bureau Join it, I saved another $1000 from Ford for being a member, its only $25.00 a year, and you save money everywhere with it. looks like CO. is outdated, but its worth a shot.

Haha no judgement on the gasser!
I have the same issue with my current truck...factory carpet is like velcro even with WeatherTech floor mats. Shit get lodged everywhere, dog hair, mud, pine needles, everything. Seems like the consensus is carpet delete is the way to go. Just was concerned about the look where the floor mats don't provide coverage.

With my weather techs you really cant see carpet except for where there are fir needles and dog hair!
Oh, and you don't need a farm to join the Farm Bureau, I don't have one, think my membership is supporter or something.
I use the shit out of it! Good luck on the truck.

Exactly! Shit piles up in the places where the floor mats don't cover and impossible for a vacuum to get to. I will definitely join the Farm Bureau. Didn't know about that. I appreciate the info!

I also came from a 6.2 denali
Im just flat out done with GM
8 speed tranny had the shudder POS
Youre gonna love the 6.7 and 10 speed
Smooth buttery shifting and loads of power that just keeps pulling
Ive got short irish legs so I got the power running boards
Raptor boards look cool but these seem to drop down lower...just something to think about
Good luck on your order?

Welcome, and congrats on the order! ?

I’m another in favor of carpet delete. Got it on my Iconic Silver Ultimate Lariat. Once the Husky mats went down, there’s very minimal flooring visible and it’s very easy to clean.

i love my no carpet lariat ulitmate fully loaded ... i always have mud and still when i am on the trails and dirty shoes when i am at work ... and it is a hard material not soft like in a XL truck and it clean extremely easy... also my f150 have carpet and i hate it ... even with the weather tech matts the dirt and shit still get under them and the mats are not fitting like they did new
