Hey guys, on most of my road trips there is a stretch of highway that has no sevice with Verizon but have been told att works well. If I have the wifi active in my truck and it is working could I use that to make a call in an emergency situation should I need it? Was considering a second phone but if I could just use the trucks wifi to make a call that would be easier and simple. Thanks for the help.

My phone supports wifi calling, have never used it but also wondering if the carrier matters. I use Verizon so will it matter at all since the truck is AT&T? I would assume it wouldn’t but maybe someone with Verizon using it could say. I have used the wifi in the truck but not for calling, guess I could just try to call over wifi and make sure it works. Thanks for the response.

You should be good. The carrier doesn’t determine who the WiFi carrier is. If you connect to any decent WiFi and have WiFi calling set up, you will be able to make calls. I have ATT and connected to my wife’s Verizon hotspot from her work to place a call where we go camping. No issues whatsoever. This particular campsite has a Verizon tower right next door. ATT is miles away on the other side of a mountain. Very poor signal from ATT. WiFi calling to the rescue.

Yessir, you sure can. I have Verizon on my iPhone 11 and the Tremor Wifi is supported by AT&T, works fine with Wifi calling....

How much is the active WiFi?
Not sure, I am on the free trial right now. They had monthly and yearly rates I believe. I want to say the monthly was around $20 for unlimited maybe, could be wrong but I know they had it all listed on the att website.

I am still on the Free, but when I signed up to use it, AT&T quoted $20. a month. I dont think it was for unlimited though, but could be wrong.

You might be right I know they had pricing if you were an AT&T customer, monthly, yearly, and what not plans. I plan to only use it monthly as needed to cover me in areas I know I won’t have good service.

I stand corrected, guess it is Unlimited for $20. My cell is on AT&T so I don't know if that had any impact, but I only signed up month to month on it for now.

I'm paying $20 for unlimited, the first payment after the free trial was Feb. We blew through the free trial on just two trips.

I am paying $12.50 a month for the unlimited wifi with att but I also have att and they gave me a military discount and a auto pay discount ... But heard this offer has ended but the trucks att service has better signal then my phone's att signal... And it nice the truck get 2 more bars then my phone's and the data is business class ... I have gotten 250 mbs in some places where my phone will get 50 to 60 mbs ... And it awesome ... I will keep paying to not use the offer even if I don't use it every month but when I do need it ... It is there

Where do I get started getting my truck on line. My cell is on AT&T. This could be a life saver when on my mountain property. Helicopter is our only emergency transport if you can reach them.

Go into the FordPass app, click the VEHICLE icon at the bottom (second from left), scroll down and click on VEHICLE HOTSPOT, it'll send you to the AT&T website (after you select FORD) and auto-populate your VIN, follow the prompts to sign up/create an account.
