So according to ampere, an app on my phone, when plugged into the USB-C charging port my phone charges at a max of 900ma. When using the 110v plug, either the front or rear one, my phone charges at 900ma.

When plugged in at home, using the same exact power adapter, my phone charges at 2500-3000ma.

Why am I getting such low charging rates when plugged into the truck? Has anyone else noticed that their phone charges incredibly slow when plugged into the truck? It's driving my crazy....

The USB C charging port in the truck may not report to the device that it can provide 'X' amount of current. iPhones look for a certain resistance or handshake if you will before certain charge rates will be negotiated.

On the 110V plug issue, wonder if it could be because the truck doesn't produce a pure sine wave?

I had faster charging rates in my 19 F150. I didn't have the ampere app back then because it wasn't an issue. I downloaded it to figure out why my phone was charging so slow.

Did Ford change the power inverter from 19 to 22 model years? I believe my 19 F150 was 400w as well.

Without having a truck in front of me, I can't do my usual analysis on this issue.

I would think Ford would use the same supplier for the USB C port from the F150.

Might just need Ford to issue a Sync 4 update perhaps? USB is APIM related I thought?

Power inverter is still 400W but no idea if they cheaped out.
