I have a 2022 F-350 Tremor on order. Looking at putting a Retrax pro, the powered version, on it. I'm curious if anyone has hardwired one to an uplifter switch to roll up/down. Are the switches 2 position or are some 3 position?

BTW, getting a powered cover is mainly b/c I rarely lock the current one I have since I am in and out of it several times a day. Having a powered Retrax would purely be for security (you cannot open or close it manually with the tailgate locked, essentially making it locked without having to use the key to lock it).

The upfitter switches are two position.

This is a cool idea, but I'm curious when you think it'd apply? The 5&6 can be switched to always be hot, so the truck doesn't need to be on to run the cover. But you'd still need to be in the truck to flip the switches.

Thanks. That'd work. One for forward and one for back.

I'd hard wire a switch in the bed as well that way it can be moved from the cab or inside the bed.

I'm certain it can all be done - just a matter of getting into the Retrax brain, which would 100% void the warranty, I'm sure.

You won't be able to use the upfitter switches to power the cover. The cover uses a momentary 12v impulse that's triggered from a key fob and your upfitter switches do not provide a momentary signal. I would recommend just sticking with the key fob that comes with the kit.

I've also got the Retrax PowertraxPRO MX in stock and ready for immediate shipment, if you're interested. We'd be glad to offer you forum pricing as well.
