Just a little info if anyone else is looking to add the same visor to their truck:

My wife and I wanted/needed the garage opener, but I couldn't let it be a deal breaker on an in-stock truck. In the end it was the only thing missing from the 2021 I found. Unfortunately, retroactively adding the universal garage opener visor can be much more expensive than the factory option depending on which model you want. They come in sunroof or non-sunroof models with or without lighted mirrors. In my case I needed the sunroof version that includes the lighted mirror and it was the most expensive version (~$300 plus shipping from Fairway Ford).

Despite lack of local dealer confirmation I decided to order the visor anyway. Ended up being a perfect match. If your truck has a sunroof with the gray headliner than the correct part number for the visor with the universal garage door opener and the lighted vanity mirror is LC3Z-2504105-NA

Easy install and plugs into existing harness. I'll try to post a pic or two tomorrow.

This is my first F250 and not having the garage door opener caught me off guard. I thought this day and age every car/truck had it. The dealers excuse was that most people can’t fit this truck in the garage. Even if it doesn’t fit you still pull in your driveway open the garage door to get in the house.

Back in my day we used to just clip an opener remote to the visor like savages.
Back in my day I would park in the driveway, get out, open the door and drive in. Then close it . I've been around for a bit.....lol.

I don't park in my garage, but we live in a gated community and drop off groceries at the garage. Kinda short-sighted on the dealers or Ford's part.

Kinda wish they had an option without the giant warnings

Purposely didn't get it.

Homelink doesn't work on the POS Overhead Door opener the PO installed. Neither my old GMC nor my wife's BMW will pair with it, so thought it would be a waste. I'm too cheap and lazy to replace it.

Oh, is your opener a newer MyQ liftmaster or equivalent? I found out real quick that the HomeLink in the 2013 F150 doesn't work with the new openers since they have better security on them (or something), and that to fix it you would need to get a repeater bridge that is installed on the house side.

Of course I didn't do that. Was hoping the new Homelinks were updated compared to the 2013 version.

Back in my day, meaning still to this day I park my truck in the driveway.
The garage is for all of my crap, tools, and maybe another motorcycle if I ever decide to get one.
Hahaha, park a truck in the garage……????

Same here. Back in the day before kids the garage was nice and clean with room to park anywhere you wanted to. Now it’s full of crap I need to throw away. And only room on one side for my wife’s car.

Yup, there is some room for my daughters car. She’s the princess so she gets what she wants. ???

Great post! Many for one reason or another end up without the homelink remote and probably would love to have it.

I built a garage just for the truck, big enough for an RV. The visor remote was a must. ?

If I ever have to go back to working in the office then I have a long commute so my wife gets the truck most days. We don't park either vehicle in the garage, but she likes to access through there when dropping the kids or groceries off. She told me to get the visor :sneaky::cool:

Has anyone pulled apart the visor to see if you can add it?

In the 2011 F150's, you could easily split the visor apart, the place for the homelink was pre-cut so just a few minor snips to remove the plastic and install the homelink module, and then tap into your visors light for power.

Modules used to be $10 on ebay which is much cheaper than a complete visor.
