I was in the process of installing my Diamondback tonneau cover. I had both the front and rear panels of the tonneau cover in the down position. From the tailgate section I crawled to the front of the truck bed to adjust the front locking mechanism rods. In the semi darkness of the area I noticed light coming into the truck bed. Upon inspection of the truck bed I noticed in the area where the wall of the bed meets the bed floor it was separated. When I received the truck a few weeks ago I did not notice this condition. I am taking the truck to the dealership on Monday to discuss the situation.

Has anyone encountered this condition? If yes, what was done to fix?

It lets the water drain unless you get a bunch of leaves back there. Every one I have seen has this gap. Not a problem.

I have the same issue with My new 2021 F250 Tremor. My old 2015 F150 did not seem to have this problem. I have also noticed muddy rain water seeping around the LED lights, switches and gooseneck plugs. Not really a big deal, but for a 80k+ vehicle, I would think it would be sealed better. Let me know what you find out. I could easily get some black seam sealer and fix it myself if I thought it was going to be an issue

My truck is the same way. Those small gaps don't bother me that much. The gaps I am mindful of are at the tailgate. They look big enough to lose some bolts/ hitch pins etc. if laying around in the bed of the truck.

Same separation on mine. The bed is made up of panels and is not a sealed tub.

It would be kind of cool if we could go swimming in the back of our trucks. ?

Thanks for all your replies. This makes me feel better that I don't have an issue with the truck bed. Between the time of my original posting and this one, I did have the opportunity to stop by a dealership when they were closed and I looked at several super duty trucks both with coated and uncoated beds. I did observe on all of them the same gaps. Again thanks

I know this is an older post but if any of you guys see this can anyone tell me if this is normal? Or is this an issue I need to talk to ford about? Thanks guys
