Just got back from a 4,600 mile Western US trip which was long in planning. The trip involved pulling our 38' travel trailer and included a meet up with 3 college buddies for several days of four wheeling in Moab. I am very impressed with the towing and the off road capabilities of the Tremor. We hit a variety of trails and used the book by Charles A. Wells, "Guide to Moab, UT Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails" along with Trails Illustrated Topo maps of Moab South, & Moab North. We had two vehicles, My Tremor, and a buddy's 4-Runner with 3 inch lift and 32" AT tires. The 4-Runner had open diffs and struggled in some areas where the Tremor made it through taking the harder line. No scrapes or hits on the Super Duty but several for the 4-Runner including detaching one of the mud flaps. I was very deliberate in my placements and had pretty good guidance from one of my more sane friends. I must have heard at least a dozen times "You drove that truck in here"??? Mostly from the Jeepers and Razor drivers.
The photos were all taken with i-phones and the quality is OK.
I tried to include short videos but got a message that the files was too large. Anyone know how to get around this??
Below is our itinerary of trails we explored.
Charles A. Wells, "Guide to Moab, UT Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails"
Day 1: Area 2 in the book
Trail # 22 - Gemini Bridges (easy) 13 miles total approximately 2 hours
Trail # 24 - Bull/Day Canyon (moderate) 3 miles, this is an offshoot of Gemini Bridges
Trail # 25 - Long Canyon (moderate) 7.5 miles total approximately 1.5 hours
Day 2: Area 3&4 in the book
Trail # 32 - Hurrah Pass/area 3 (easy) 12 miles to Trail 58
Trail # 58 - Chicken Corners/area 4 (moderate) 18 miles round trip. Out and back via Hurrah Pass 42 miles approximately 6 hours.
Day 3: Area 3 in the book
Trail # 48 - Dome Plateau(moderate) 31 miles approximate time 6 hours. Also factor in 30 mile drive to the trail so about 7 hours total.
