I love old homestead buildings, thinking about all the blood sweat and tears it took to make everything by hand

NICE! (y)

I really like how the barn appears to be well maintained (the Tremor, as well!).
I think it's a shame when barns are left to the mercy of the wind & elements. I have reclaimed a lot of wood from barns similar to the barn in your pics. Rather than be pushed into a hole, burned, then buried, I think reclaiming wood is not only beautiful but also conservative (I'm speaking literally, not politically, so some of you don't even go there).

BEAUTIFUL Tremor, too! I've ordered Star White, and can't wait.
I hope all our Tremors stand the test of time as well as this barn.
Great pics!

This is so cool! I’ve always wanted to explore the center of the cou try and track down the roots of the early settlers. Ghost towns, forgotten trails, places only to be reached by horse (Tremor)...

HD FLHTK or Ural Gear-up when Wx turns bad.
We used to ride to Bodie, Ca when I lived in No. Cali - very cool old mining town 1800’s in the high sierras that was abandoned and made into a state park. Very cool like the people just vanished leaving almost everything behind with good chunk of buildings still standing.

Bodie State Historic Park looks fascinating. When I’m back in CA, I’d enjoy visiting that, for sure. ??
You’re right: looks like one minute the ? & ? were hot on the stove....next minute, no more people ?

a person can click/tap each pic to enlarge pic
If OP had rendered pics to full-size, there'd be 3 pages of scrolling.
Using my phone to read this site:
Thumbnails - click on the picture(sometimes they don’t fully appear) then have to click to download them. I have repeat the double click and download process for each of the pictures posted. In this case 3 times.
Full pictures - the full picture is available to see from the start. No clicks no downloads no wasted time. So much easier!

I did a 4,000 km trip during July and August, mostly in my own state, but I also crossed over the border into Queensland. I followed a stockmans route now called the Cobb Highway. Most of it is sealed, with the northern end is still gravel. They had numerous signs at various stops along the way. Once in Queensland, I had a great time on a 70,000 acre sheep and cattle station. The short driveway was 16km long, so it was a great place to stay. I hope you enjoy your trip as much as I did

It was a spur of the moment decision although it was a trip I long wanted to do. I left sydney and headed south over beautiful rolling countryside till I got to the border. I headed west then, following the river and saw some beautiful wetlands which was every bit as good if not better than I hoped. I then headed north, for another change of landscape into the outback. I love the outback, the huge open spaces I just love. People probably think I’m crazy but I love deserts. Good recent rain though had the countryside looking great.

The Cobb Highway oozed with history when the districts along the way flourished after they were originally settled but some of the small communities closed over time. When they put the railway through, which linked the east coast to the west, it meant the end for some towns while benefiting others.

I kept going north, never sure where I would stay till the night before. In this way I decided to cross the border and stay at the sheep and cattle station. I absolutely loved it there. 70,000 acres, I felt like I belonged here.

Then I headed east, back over the great dividing range and found myself on the Gold Coast. From there, up to the Sunshine Coast and the hinterland beyond it. Then south back into New South Wales where I stayed right next to the beach, then back over the range and camped by a river. About the only thing I didn’t see was snow!
