Tremors and Campers let's talk camping!!

That money will buy a lot of nights in Sun Valley, Banff, Swiss Alps, Aspen, Greece, Nassau, Maui, Maldives, Thailand, Bora Bora, Italy.....
Just saying.
Maybe, but I am reminded of when I looked out along the Almalfi Coast in Italy and it’s great splendour, and I said to myself,”I’d rather be 1500 km north west of Sydney right now.”

The caravan is to be my home away from home as I join the ranks of the grey nomads. I’ve been to Europe a number of times, but nothing compares to the outback and for a few months each year that is where I will be. I quote Dorothea Mackellar:

I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of drought and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror –
The wide brown land for me!

We drug the toy hauler to Tombstone for Thanksgiving and a long five day weekend. :)

We have a Montana High Country 294RL that we got this past spring - I pull it with my dually but the Tremor will pull it just fine as well. Previously had a much bigger Toy Hauler. The Tremor will be pulling my trailer/RZR around a lot though.

We’re out every other weekend, a little top heavy with the Cirrus but we mostly boondock off the easier FS roads in Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. Looking forward to some winter camping trials next weekend before ski season kicks in. Moab for Thanksgiving.

I'm getting ready to put my old Lance on the Tremor for the snowboard season.
There will be no public dining facilities open at the ski resorts this year which means that the weekend camper party in the overflow parking lot will now be a weekend camper festival across the state.

Nice rig. I love black Tremors with campers in front of a scenic background. The metallic grey Tremors with campers are also really slick.

I noticed you have the Torklift mounts. Did you install them yourself?

I'm installing the front mounts this weekend and I have to loosen the bolt on the front of the leaf springs.
What size is that bolt and how did you do that part of the install? Did you have to torque it back on to a specific torque?
Thanks.

I did the TorqLift mount install myself, pretty easy. There’s a YouTube video from TorqLift that is really helpful. I believe it t was a 24mm, I got a loaner Torque wrench from O’Reillys to torque everything.

I was looking for that video.
Thanks for the info.

Bolts is bigger than 24mm, it's 32mm. Rearing to go to install mine if I can ever get ahold of a set of tiedowns.... they seem to be backordered everywhere.

PS: that video is or the 8 ft bed, bit different on the short bed. My previous truck was the 8' so I did install those and it was fun fishing all 3 bolts with the bolt fishers at the same time. I'm hoping the short bed will be a touch easier.

Thanks for the info, I thought that bolt looked bigger than 24, I hope I can get a loaner impact large ratchet set from O"Reilly.
My front Torkift mounts took 2 months, purchased them on Etrailer.

Got rained out of the cotton field so we took our first camping trip with the Tremor. Even though it was only a 45 minute drive to the campground, we was impressed to say the least with the pulling power and handling of the trailer with this truck.
