Hi All,

I just received my F350 King Ranch Tremor 6.7 L and i noticed my payload sticker showing only 1,764 lbs. This seems off as i read on the previous thread that was closed that you guys with F350 Platinum Tremors have payload numbers in the 3,000's. What is the reason for this? When i build the truck online to double check once you add the Tremor package it immediately downgrades to the 9,900 GVWR package. Any insight here would be great.

According to my window sticker, my F-350 lariat has a 11500# GVWR PACKAGE. I’m not sure why the Platinum/Tremor combination would only have 9900#.

That does seem really low. Something doesn't sound right.

wow, my 6.7 250 is 1000# more than that. I agree with warpath, something doesn't seem right with that rating.

Thanks for the input guys. So apparently my fleet manager ordered this truck back in early sept. And at that time I think the ordering system was messed up. I think at that time it didn’t allow you to add a 11,500gvwd with a tremor, or my salesman didn’t know how to pair the packages together... one of the two. Anywho, back when I ordered the king ranch I changed my order twice. Once from king ranch to platinum then I changed the colour. Lone behold each time I made a change my fleet manager just ordered new trucks every time. So I have 2 trucks, a black and magnetic platinum tremor 350 6.7 coming in 3-4 weeks both which have the 11,500gvwd package. I returned my king ranch today. It only has 300km on it... what a screw around.

Payload is 3278 #
F-350 Lariat
6.7 diesel
Window sticker added for options. Not sure if certain options raises or lowers the payload or not.

I know I'm reviving this, but it doesn't actually look like it was ever truly answered.

The only real reason for a lower payload rating is to satisfy insurance companies and/or certain state's regulations. There is nothing physically different with the vehicle at all.

It is too appease the weight and insurance police. Hell a properly setup new F150 can physically haul and tow almost as much as some Super Dutys can, just not legally per road restrictions.

I ordered the exact same truck to replace the king ranch and the payload is a standard approx #3,300. Not sure why a downgrade payload package was applied to the KR. Anyways my new black 350 platinum tremor arrived in 20 days.. another countdown for me.. at this point I’m so used to waiting it don’t matter no more. The tease of having the KR for 3 days sucked..

A salesman told me that the moonroof significantly impacts payload capacity. Maybe some guys with Tremors with and without moonroof could post up their payload ratings from the door stickers?

If you don't want your payload to suffer from a low GVWR, make sure that your order doesn't include the 10,000/9,900 GVWR PACKAGE (68D).

This no cost package is optional on all trim but migth get automatically added in your order. Your sales rep have to manually ''delete'' it from the order (was the case with my King Ranch, but decided to go with the 68D for registration concern in my province).

By the way if you order a F-250 diesel Tremor, the 68D should be automatically removed from your order because is not compatible with the high capacity towing package (535 or 53Q) required for this configuration.

I'm curious to see if the sunroof really have that much impact on the payload...

Here's my sticker from the 7.3 that I had without the sunroof:

Thanks. It'll be nice to see how the F250 gas compares to your F350 Gas. Especially being that they are the same trucks other than that sticker. (Tremor F250 and Tremor F350 have same spring packs and axles)

Here's the sticker from the F-350. It has more options than the F-250, 5th wheel, sunroof, and a few other things, so whatever they weigh come off of the payload capacity.

That really seems suspect...my F250 Tremor has the 10800 GVWR and the "Max Tow PKG/Pro Trlr Bkup Assist" Cargo capacity is 2730...and that is the lowest I have seen so far (besides yours) on this forum.
