Trailer tow mileage

I was flipping through the screens on the dash panel and noticed under the trailer tab my tow miles are over 3,000. I only have 4,400 on the truck and have towed a trailer maybe 400 miles.

has anyone else had this issue and if so how do you correct it? Or at least stop it from racking up tow miles?

When you disconnect, make sure you enter the trailer menu on the screen. Set active trailer to mine.
Sometimes it will automatically remove the trailer, but not always.
There was a reference in the owners manual to this effect.

Thank you I thought it worked off the trailer electrical connector to see if a trailer was connected or not.
