I've had my '21 Tremor for about 3 weeks now. Last week the touch screen starting acting up. What it was doing is basically having a mind of it's own and staying on the Nav screen but constantly moving around. None of the other buttons would work if I tried to go to a different screen. I took it to the dealer he said he's seen this before and it's a programing issue and there is an update for it. They do the update and I drive it home and it appeared to be fine but right as I'm about to pull in the driveway it starts acting up again. Anyone else having a similar issue?

So is this a sync issue? Mine seems to have a mind of its own. Just randomly between screens. Try to click something and it does nothing.

I did a reboot with mine when it froze up in reverse camera view. I posted how to do it somewhere on this site and it's easy to google it also.

Is that where you hold the power and fwd button down to restart it or something else? Because ive done that many times and no luck

Not exactly the same problem... I've had my truck for almost 3 weeks and it has gone crazy on the Navigation screen several times and it shows me driving down the middle of a pasture instead of the road. Also, the radio presets don't show correctly and the tuning on SXM is slow as molasses on the winter time. I've reset it several times already. Ford dropped the ball.

The 8.4" (non-nav) unit in my 2018 Ram was way ahead on screen resolution, speed, and sound quality...this Sync unit is pretty glitchy/laggy to be on a new vehicle.

Just got my truck on 1/30/21 and the nav glitched-out this morning on the way to work, I had it on to check for traffic delays...it started fine/normal, then about 1/2 to work (36 miles one way) the map went all over the world, the nav voice came on and went off, buttons/controls were not responsive. When I took the truck out to lunch, it seemed fine but I did not have it actively navigating to a destination. Going to try nav on way home, see what it does. Hate to have to go back to the dealer, especially if Ford does not have a true fix as you guys are saying... for the money paid for this truck, Ford needs to step up and find a resolution!

Maybe a future update will reduce or eliminate some of the bugs.

So far, the nav has not had any more problems, so I'm hoping it was an isolated incident. I'll post if I do, and take to the dealer to address.

I have a 20 F250 Tremor and having issues with touch screen just doing what it wants. Was there ever a resolution found? Mine just started.

Welcome to the club. Been having problems since I picked up my truck in March. The radio station buttons jump around after to select on, the system turns off the Apple Car play on its own, sometimes none responsive buttons all together. Did the reboot, no fix. Took it to the dealership for a system update, no fix. Just had a new Audio Control Module installed, no fix. Now waiting on the Ford Help Desk to come up with a solution. Only thing now to do is to replace the entire radio unit but since there is a shortage on microchips, who knows how long I’ll be waiting.

Mine has not been responsive to touch a few times. Today the AC started turning on and off by itself. I turned the truck off and on. Everything started working. I took a video, one more thing on the list!!

The dealer fixed this for me finally. Originally they said it was the computer and replaced that. Then it kept doing the same thing and they replaced the screen. That was a month or so ago and it's worked fine since. Sounds like they may have had a bad run of screens or maybe something gets in the screen causing it to act up but I would ask your dealer to look into that.

Have a 2020 F250 Tremor that the radio seems haunted. Buttons randomly push themselves. Tried soft and hard reset and still is doing it. Anyone find a fix other waiting dealership?

It’s either the screen or the APIM or both. I had all kinds of issues with mine day 1. The APIM fixed the channel hopping issue and the new screen replaced the “dead zones” I had. No issues since, about 14 months.

Take it to the dealer, I think it’s a common thing. They diagnosed mine ordered the parts and had every thing fixed in about 2 weeks.

They had to replace my screen too. Took about a two weeks, but I picked it up Monday.
I am a kind of confused  They need two weeks to replace a screen? Your truck was 2 weeks at the dealer shop?
Couldn't you drive with your truck or what?
I would expect that the auto shop order the screen and if the screen arrived I'll bring the truck for one day to the auto shop.

Yes, you keep your truck. You bring it in and the troubleshoot the issue, they order the part(s), then when part comes is and they swap it out.
