I have a 30 mile daily commute with my 7.3L. I started challenging myself to see how well I can do on mileage. This morning I hit 18.5mpg! Of course using "ECO" mode. It's city driving, no highway. Can anyone beat this number?

Not even close! I'm 12.1 MPG average with a 40 mile commute.

Curious to know... What king of MPG's were you getting before you started the "eco effort?"

Nope, cant touch that, about 13.1 for me, although have not gone all in one eco mode, Ill try it.

What's your elevation change over that drive? I noticed better mileage going to work than coming, because overall my trip to work is on a slight downgrade. Try it over a week and see what you get!

This was approximately a 30 mile stretch of highway, no wind no traffic running 70 mph.....2021 F250 7.3/3.55 gears

And then coming home on same stretch running 75 mph

Is the 30 miles both ways or round trip?

I was happy to see this on my last fill up.. Finally made it over 400 for a tank ? Around 13-13.5mpg

My grandpa would even slap for driving the beast that easy lol. Peddle to the aluminum buddy!!

Wow, that's a tall challenge Dude....I'm not sure if I'm up for putting a lot of effort into it as I'm still enjoying the brutality of what it can mean to drive a 7.3L. :ROFLMAO: And what's this "ECO" sorcery you speak of? :ROFLMAO: (I promise I know what it is, just never use it)

I didn’t buy my 6.7 for fuel mileage so I guess I never even looked at this aspect of it all!! I bought mine to pull what ever I wanted. I think if I were looking into fuel mileage I would have invested in a smart car!! I think it’s great if you can get that type of fuel mileage. I will say this if you’re not burning gas in that truck your Surely not hauling ass!

Just did a 350mi Round Trip from SE Vegas to Caliente (NV) yesterday, its about 3000' overall change in elevation. Pretty much set the cruise at 70mph. Got 18.6MPG going / 21.3MPG return with my 6.7L diesel. There was definitely a tail-wind on the return trip, but not complaining.
