I wouldn’t worry too much about it I won’t be. I’ve gotten by for 15 years with a mechanic tool set my uncle got for me in middle school. And I drove a 96 suburban that I still have with 250k on it and a 90 f250 that my dad still has with 280k on it. And it’s never let me down I’ve added a few things over the years oversized deep sockets in both metric and standard. I keep a 4lb engineers hammer for ya know hammer stuff. A 1/2” drive breaker bar and a 24 inch massive flathead screw driver for prying. Some jumper cables and a tire plug kit. Add some extensions and a few extra reducers and such I have a 3/8s to 1/2 increaser that’s come in incredibly handy. Channel locks vise grips and lineman’s pliers a roll of rebar tie wire and some zip ties. And with that kit I’ve done engines (obviously borrowed a hoist for that one) and transmissions, water pumps , countless alternators and every maintenance task. Some creativity and elbow grease required. Bottle jacks and wood blocks come in handy but you can use the factory jack. Maybe want a sleeve of torques and Allen sockets? I haven’t had the tremor long enough to know if I need those in the truck. I know that looks like a lot but I will be able to get all that to fit under the back seat. Wire strippers and electrical tape. Below is the newer version of my basic ass tool kit and it has never left me stranded (fingers crossed).Does anyone have a basic tool kit to keep in the truck they’d recommend?
