Hey guys got a couple questions…I’m not going to change my rims from stock but would like to know what everyone is using for tires. I have always went with BFG K02 but have noticed many of you don’t seem to choose that tire. What do you guys use and why? I’m prolly 95 percent on road but want a quite aggressive looking tire do I stick with bfg?

I've seen a lot of people go with the Copper Discover AT3.

I would definitely consider the Coopers AT3 XLT tires. Most of the reviews I've read have been really positive. You could run a LT295/70R18 which would be slightly shorter but wider then the stock Goodyear Duratrac. It also has the same max load (4080 lbs)

I second the Cooper AT3 XLT's for your intended purpose. I ran BFG's on 2 3/4 ton diesels simultaneously. It seemed at around the same time/mile the compound got hard and brittle. They also picked up rocks really bad. The deal breaker was on my wifes truck she broke a belt after 5k miles and about blew out with our 2yo daughter in the truck pulling horses across the texas panhandle. The other truck was our cake feeder truck and the added weight in the bed combined with gravel roads just chewed them apart. I averaged 10k on them before scrapped them for Cooper Maxx. Her truck now runs Cooper XLTs and they ride/wear great.

You can’t go wrong with the K02’s. Nitto and Toyo make a great tire “Same Conpamy”. Can’t for wrong with Coopers for the price either.

I have had the best luck with Nittos and rotating them super regularly.

More information to consider

I had the BFGs KO 2 for many years on my SVT Raptor and my Wrangler rubicon The last a long time very good all around tires. They suck in the mud and deep snow. So if you don't go mudding and drive thru 12" or more of the white stuff they are a very good way to go. They will last 60,000 plus miles with proper rotation.

I have since changed out the BFGs on the Raptor for Nittos I have the Nittos on my Tremor and on my Ruby. The Nitto tires give you a "cool"factor. It will cost you in mileage, road noise ( some people want that) and in the Rain the MUD and Trail Grapplers slip around. The ridge grapplers on my Tremor are pretty good all around better off road than the BFGs, not much noise. I doubt the Nittos will last as long as BFGs. All are load range E or F in the case of the Nittos.
all are 35 x 12. 50s except the Raptor are 37 x 12.50s. Nitto tires seem heaver than the BFGs ( tire per tire ). The 37s are very heavy and I hate the weigh of them.
