2020 250 XLT 7.3 with 15k miles. I think I paid $55k for it back in April.

I’m needing a dually or a 3500 for the equipment I need to tow, or else I’d keep this as it’s a really cool truck.

It seems like most trade in or online buying places are treating this like a normal 250 and not a Tremor package. Where do I have the best shot of selling this where I can get at least some value out of the Tremor package?

How did you not figure this out in April? And if anything, trade it in for an F350 DRW then.
Your best bet for the best price is the Californian market, if you’re willing to go through the trouble of long distance trade-in.

Um, I changed equipment and trailers since April...therefore needing a larger and more capable truck.

There’s been a lot of people on this site looking for trucks maybe post up on here

I had this discussion with my dealer when I traded my F350 on an F350 Tremor. Tremors and Raptors are really niche markets. People who want them really want them but the market for Tremors and Raptors is smaller. But go to a dealer looking at a Tremor they had in stock, they would try to convince you that this is a very special product blah blah blah. Super Duty market is still pretty hot. Ask your dealer for the clean wholesale price of your truck and the clean retail price of your truck and offer to split the difference.

Post it here, FB and maybe eBay. unfortunately with 15K you are going to see some depreciation. I would get it on the market with winter coming and low gas prices and lots of guys waiting months on the 2021s.

AutoTrader.com and Cars.com would be another good place to list it. These trucks are in demand, so I think you'll have an easy time selling it.

Here is a thought if you can be without your truck for a couple of weeks. Figure out where you are going to purchase your next truck. If it is local you could work out the minimum price you would be willing to live with, have the dealer put the truck on his lot and split the difference between what he sells it for and your minimum (or whatever he was offering you). I do not know about taxes where you are but here we pay taxes on the price of a new vehicle less the trade in amount. If we sell privately that advantage goes away and that advantage is worth on the order of 2K depending on your tax rate. It's really a win win as he is not putting up cash to purchase or floorplan your vehicle and you get come out ahead financially (more for your trade plus tax advantage)

Most dealerships are too greedy with the used cars, especially late model. With the internet shoppers they prices are already reduced. Agree with you on the tax advantage of the trade in. Maybe just trade it. Shop around a quality dealership that moves lots of inventory won't be afraid of it.
Consignment could be a problem for insurance and payments if there is a loan. Remember the dealership is in business to make money and they have overhead.

Could also get a price from Car Max

( I always do however they never seem to do as well as my dealership)

"I did it with my 2019 Tacoma to Carvana and it’s why I’m ordering a Rubicon. Paid $34.500 for it new in 2019 and sold it for $37,700 this month after putting 8500 miles on it. They literally paid me $3000 to drive that truck for a year and a few months."

"I asked myself the same question but had a similar deal with my 2019 TRD Sport that I bought for $34,300 about a year and half ago and Received an offer from caravan for $39,800 and that’s what I got from the dealer for the trade in (it had 3700 miles only) when I bought my JLU.

I checked the dealer site and they initially posted the Tacoma for $43k but it’s now down to $41k. I don’t get it as well but that’s was my experience 2 months ago."

I did that with my 2019 802A Raptor. I bought it for 69K and put 19000 miles on it. I recently traded it in for 66.5K and am getting an F250 tremor. I basically drove around like crazy for a year at almost no cost in this vehicle.

I had a Suzuki Hayabusa that I bought new after a deployment for $13k. Sold it for $9k almost 8 years later with over 10,000 miles on it. Came down to $500/year which was a sick deal.
Doug DeMuro said there was a similar thing with the original Raptors holding crazy value.

Certain vehicles will hold value and are more desirable than other the Tremor is just an option so we will see how the values hold up

Super duties hold their value reasonably well. Bigger difference here will be the 6.7 vs 7.3... the diesel will do better by default, but how well will the 7.3l hold up?
The thing with Gen2 Raptors right now has also very little to do with the niche value of them. The Gen1s were valuable to this day across the board because of how rare they were. We are in a very unique market environment: Because of the crisis and year-end, car makers are trying to incentivize new vehicle sales like crazy, so they can be had for cheap. At the same time, Raptors are hard to come by because production was a bit lower and halted, so there’s not too many new ones around anymore. In addition to that, there won’t be a raptor next year. So whoever wants one, has to act now on a used or new one if they don’t want to wait close to two years, and that’s jacking up the prices. It gets so crazy that a used 19k miles raptor almost cost as much as it’s selling price “new”. I wasn’t the only one getting a mile-rejuvenation at the moment. Lots of people are doing it.

The Diesel, being an $8k option over the 7.3L, should hold higher resale.

I always thought it would hold value more because of a Diesel engines longer expected lifespan.

Ford engineers said "The 7.3-liter is designed for maximum durability in the harshest environments given that our customers live and work in these conditions every day". That being said, no one knows the expected lifespan yet, but it's predicted to be good.
