The Ford ordering process explained from start to finish

That's interesting.............. not sure what to think yet. Basically I built my truck off the ford site and handed a print out to my salesman. We did discuss some options and package content, but in all it took about 20 minutes and a $500 earnest check and walked out of the dealership with a copy of the order sheet with price and started waiting.
Arrival day consisted of the usual sales pitching for warranties and services packages which I always decline, then about 90 minutes of orientation, looking the truck over and customer photos and then a short drive to the Ford Garage for celebration lunch.

I know if you haven't ordered a vehicle before it may seem daunting, and the dealership has a lot to do with the ease or confusion that you may experience. By far color, engine choice and trim package are the hardest decisions for many. This is a great resource for the newbies in the group, but don't forget to ask questions about anything that doesn't make sense. And don't stress it! It's really not that complicated.

Thanks, I found that interesting and is very similar to Motorsports Manufactures procedures
Totally agree, especially for those that like to know the nuts and bolts of the process. For many of us who are through that process it may seem like overkill, but it is useful to those starting out.
For those in the process of ordering, the dynamic of the build schedule and process is quite confusing in reality and unpredictable. Everyone seems to have a different experience. With the chip shortage I'm sure there will be a new level of unpredictability. Patience is the first order of business. ? ?
