Sync 3 Update?

Anyone else get the notice in Ford Pass a new update is available for Sync 3?

My truck shows I am on Sync 3.4, Build 20196_Product - but, seems like potentially a newer version is available?

Checking updates doesn't seem to yield anything and it leaves me wondering.

Wonder on... I got the sync update message on October 25th, but "check for updates" in the truck is not showing an update. The manual download page online using my VIN shows the latest installed build is 20196. The new update should be v3.4.21265. Ford does not release changelogs or even list the build number in update messages. We only have the somewhat vague "will deliver an enhancement on audio performance" from the update message. People who have installed build 21265 using cyanlabs, have reported no apparent difference in operation from the last build. Sooner or later it may show up.

I'm just hoping it fixes the CarPlay microphone issues whenever it shows up.

Same. I haven't checked lately - but, like @enzyox says, I don't know where to check the version number within Sync.

I also got the message, but am on 21194, and I did it manually a while back.

I used CYANLABS tool and updated just the Apps package to 3.4.21265 and so far all seems stable. I have not noticed any improvements either. The one fix I am hoping for is the delay that Sync has when I first start the vehicle. It takes about 90 seconds or more to update the map as well as update the info on the radio. The version that the pickup came with did not exhibit this and if I happen to downgrade it is fixed but the other issues, a la traffic info, is borked. So, for now I'll stay on 3.4.21265.
