I'm looking for storage solutions for tools and gear under the Retrax Pro's storage container. Currently I am using 3 basic plastic tool boxes to hold some of my things and they fit under the storage container nicely. The problem is that there are 3 tool boxes (and another separate tupperware bin fool of gear) to dig through when I need something. The other problem is they keep bouncing/sliding around and have broken the plastic drain tube connections to the storage container. Now my tool boxes and anything else get wet. Does anyone know of a small drawer system that would fit in the space under the Retrax storage container? Anyone have any other storage solutions for under that space. I would prefer it to not be permanent and to be able to pull the toolbox/drawer out to allow longer items to slide in/under when needed.

Have you found a good solution yet? I picked up these storage containers from Amazon that fit underneath the Retrax bin and they fit almost perfectly between the drain tubes. When I'm driving around tow and have nothing else in the bed, I use a cargo bar to keep them in place.

Not a cheap solution, but high quality one. I use a ROAM 83L Rugged Case to store all my recovery gear and miscellaneous stuff. They have places to hook a 1” strap (see website for details) that I hook to each bed hook to hold secure. The only drawback it it will not fit between the wheel wells, so I have to pull it out on an angle, which isn’t too big of a deal.

I have the same set up, I use 2 ford swing cases and one ridgid tool box tote, I have everything I need and it’s all separated.

I use three of the harbor freight “suitcase” style pelican boxes. The fit perfectly and are air/water tight. I also used some 5700 sealant to keep the drain tubes in place

No I still haven’t came up with anything better to hold my gear and tools. Under the Retrax canister I keep 3 tool boxes, my ARB compressor, and a road hazard kit. To keep the boxes from sliding around I put my Go Treads on the sides to keep them from busting the drain tubes (still haven’t put my new ones in) and a cargo bar to keep the boxes from sliding back. The rest of my gear is in the Action Packer.

How do you keep them from shifting side to side and taking out the drain lines?

I haven't had any issues with that yet. However, I'm looking for a good solution to fill up that space too.

I realllly wanted that 83L ROAM case - it's the ideal solution to me but man it is pricey and hard to justify.

I ended up finding this case (at a Canadian retailer which carries a hilarious "house brand" name) for a much more affordable price. It's still of really nice quality, quite solid and has the foam pads which can be shaped to what you want to put in there. It's ~6.5" tall which is just perfect for my Peragon (I hope) as that typically has 7.5" of clearance when it folds back towards the cab.

With the Peragon you really want something like this in my opinion because if something rolls back underneath the cover by the cab it can prevent it from folding down (and you have to crawl in to fish it out). Gotta love this forum for the wisdom on here.

I was thinking maybe a simple aluminum angle bracket to keep the boxes from sliding sideways.

Do the molle brackets clear the Retrax canister?

Not 100% sure what you are referring too? Are you referring to the Builtright bedside racks? If so, then yes, but I installed them prior to the Retrax. Not a ton of useable space, but every little bit counts

that's the one...I blanked out on the name. Does anyone make a panel that extends from the front to the rear box link cleat, with a contour over the wheel well?

Not that I am aware of for Ford. Reach out to Matt with Builtright, he’s awesome and will personally respond. If it can be done he can do it. He has the patent on the molle bedside system. I know he builds what you describe for other manufacturers, so I assume there was a reason he chose or couldn’t for Ford. I also wish what you described was available.
