About 2 months ago I drove a Tremor at my local dealer, based on what the online price was. When I arrived, they had added a $5k “market adjustment” to it. I still drove it and discussed price/financing, but called BS ultimately on their pricing. Walked away. About a month later, bought my Tremor at a dealer about 40 miles away and got a mild “discount.” A $10k ”market adjustment” is bull. They try to make you think this is the only truck you can get. There are always more trucks...

That is insane!! Just ordered my 2021 on Wednesday, lariat, black appearance package,6.7, carpet delete, supplement heater, cab lights, and a bunch of little things for 72k

Yea there’s nothing added no change to 21 model 10k dealer mark up is sticking it to people I noticed Ford doubled the price on the high cap tow package

‘What do you mean by doubled the price of the High Cap Towing package? Are you sure you are not comparing the 2020 High Cap price to a 2021 with the High Cap and the 360 cameras?

Man...buyer beware eh? Some people are ignorant enough to "buy" it, aka finance...

Yea from what I matched up the high cap trailer PTBA on 2020 is 1130.00 and same thing on 2021 is 2785.00

Ok, you are comparing the F350 to the F250. The PTBA on the F350 is only for the cameras because the F350 already has the leafs and M275 Dana rear axle. The high cap towing did not change in price between 2020 and 2021 if you do an apples to apples comparison.

my hctp with ptba is $2730 and I am holding my 2020 sticker in my hand

I stand corrected. It looks like it changed slightly, but certainly not by double...

Yea I kinda thought we were comparing 250 to 350...so technically...that makes the 250 MORE expensive than the 350...kinda ironic.......thats why I have been saying almost everyone should just buy the 350 for a while now..... ?

I test drive one in September that they wanted 84,000 for (plus or had box damage from shopping). I thought that was high so I offered them 80,000 for it. He looked at me and kinda laughed. He said they won't budge on price. I said "ok" and left. the following day I ordered a 2021 king ranch 7.3 fully loaded for 69,000. The waiting had been tough but I want going to get screwed. Needles to say they called me the following week wanting to make a deal. That tremor is still sitting on that lot.

I see this is in Concord, CA so not surprised. I'm in the Sacramento region and the dealers here do the same thing. My local dealer, where I bought my ordered Tremor from and got it for under invoice (invoice, not MSRP), does that on all but the most basic vehicles on their lot. I've asked them before and they've told me - why not. Some people will pay it and if they don't do it then it's like leaving $s on the table.

I told them I can see that logic but as an informed shopper I find it a huge turn-off and view them as greedy. The sales guy told me that most shoppers are not informed and will simply pay it. Now this discussion was before services like Costco and Truecar and even KBB were prevalent and even with a small amount of effort you can find the invoice or "true market value" of a car. But some people are just terrible with car purchases and abhor confrontation so they'll pay it. Ugh.

Did you order it from the same dealer? Frankly if they have attitude like that I won't give them my biz. I also won't talk to a salesperson about price. I ask for the sales manager or floor manager to come out. There is nothing I hate more than the back and forth numbers on a piece of paper bull-shit. I don't have time for that. And that's if I'm actually there. Recently (last 2 years) I've just been doing all the negotiation over email. Send emails to 5+ local dealers with a printout of my build and my bottom line price for the truck and estimated OTD amount (they like to add bullshit fees). Wait for them to respond and go from there. Works great.

hahahahaha! Nope never....insane price!
