I’ve had my truck since July. Every time i hit a bump slightly larger than normal (pothole, etc.) i get a little chirp out of the front end. I thought it went away, but turns out that was just because I had the windows up for winter. Now that the weather is improving and the windows are down again, I realize the squeak is still there. I’m not overly concerned something is going to fail, but it is annoying. Rear brakes squeal consistently too. I will bring it up with the dealer, but they are an hour away. Would love to give them a little direction if any of you wise fellows have any insight.

Perhaps someone with more mechanical knowledge will respond with a better answer, but the squeak could be one of a number of things loose/worn out in the front end. There’s a lot of bushings and connections up there. Good mechanic should be able to check all of them and find the loose one(s).

As for the rear brakes, given the age of the truck it’s likely you have a small rock or piece of dirt caught between the pad and rotor causing the squeal. It’s also possible, but unlikely, your rotors are glazed.

I bought a used car once that had glazed rotors and they were squealing like crazy. But that was used, so more wear/time than you’re likely talking about.

I had this. Took dealer forever to find it. They took the drivers side shock out and it went away. They ordered a new one but when they put the old one back in the squeak was gone so I never bothered to have them install the new one.
