Live in SE MI.

Work at Bosch as a Brake Systems Engineer. I mainly do chassis controls calibration and brake system design/implementation. Some things I have calibrated and/or worked on are ABS, Trail Control, Adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, stability control, towing functions(trailer sway), hill decent control, multi-terrain modes, etc.

We have 6 Ford vehicles, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, jet skis and a camper

I try to spend as much time outside as possible

Happy Thanksgiving!

Greetings from a fellow SE Michigander! I like both the trucks in your pic!!!

Welcome!

Why do my brakes work fine except when I'm creeping backwards to hook up my trailer? It sounds like the end of the world! 🤡

That’s very odd! My truck doesn’t do this, at least not that I’ve noticed. Can you tell if the sound is coming from the front or rear axle?

Cfack, it definitely sounds like the rear brakes. I keep forgetting to mention it to my dealer. If there were drums back there I wouldn't think twice but I'm wondering if it could be a parking brake issue. The brakes work great otherwise and I already have like 9K of towing on them without any problems. I'm not losing sleep over it but it is weird.

Welcome!
