Hey guys, just curious if anyone else has had any issues with their special order not being correct when it comes in. Ordered my truck day before Christmas, day after, I realized the only thing I had left off was the roof marker lamps. Texted my sales guy and he said the lady that does the ordering got it added and we were good. Sent me a picture of the feature on the build sheet. Or what he said was the build sheet... what do I know? I thanked him and asked how we KNOW it got added. Like, was there some kind of confirmation email or something that I would receive and I never got a response. Sat patiently since then. Got a text this morning from the sales guy with a picture that said, "just took her off the truck." To which I responded, "sweet, thanks. looks like the roof lamps didn't get added afterall... shit!!" He ended up calling me and making up some stupid shit and tried to offer some $650 aftermarket lights that he would "try to split with me." Anyway, I am going to call the sales manager tomorrow and see what can be done to make this right. Have any of you had any similar issues and if so, what were your experiences getting it rectified?

If Ford accepted the order then you're probably not getting 'em.
Hey, it could be worse.

I ordered mine with the bench, mostly because we have 6 kids (only 3 still home full-time) and I already had the under seat vault for the bench. Everything showed bench, build sheet, vin spec for true and false and the tracker, window sticker and basic ford tracker. Showed up with the front console... Since we only have 3 at home full-time it wasn't a deal breaker, they just added the console vault for me. The only thing I'm missing are the rear heated seats, I would have added them if I purposely ordered the console setup.

$650 for aftermarket lights? I’d go without the lights personally. Who knows what kind of aftermarket job that would be. Don’t want anyone drilling through the roof at the dealer or a local accessory shop. Annoying that they didn’t get it right the first time.

I ordered upfitter switches, was actually on my build sheet, Ford didnt build it with them. Not a big deal, just a little aggravated, for the money, you think they would QC it.

Is it on your VIN and sticker? Post your sticker if you can

You could have checked your order on the tracking site and you would have known if they put the marker lights on it

Also I haven't had a delaer offer to do aftermarket clearance lights yet so I dont know if i would take them up on that offer

That happened to me with the garage door opener. I brought it up, and the salesman said "that sucks." That was it.

I think they did you a favor 165 for the garage door opener felt like a kick in the nuts!

But my condolences that's annoying I feel for you.

LOL yep - it was easy for me to move on. The ironic part was that the salesman talked me into it at the last second. At that point, I was like what the hell. But I got the last laugh.

I triple checked my build sheet and my window sticker once it was available. If my truck shows up missing any of my must haves it will be frustrating.

Had to have my opener replaced because one of the buttons was intermittent. I thought the electronics were somewhere and the buttons were in the visor. Had to reprogram the mess again.

From what I learned from this was...

It may be that all you have to do is get the visor with the buttons and the actual electronics are in the visor. Replace and wire to the mirror. Check on it. You may get lucky.

If you really want the lights I would make the dealer install factory lights and harness and make sure it’s covered by the dealer it’s not a hard job but some shops don’t want to do it if you have a sunroof

Huh, that is interesting. I’ll see if I can figure it out. Thanks.

I've heard this is not a Ford dealer approved procedure.

Yea I’m shore they won’t but they should have some one do the work and try to make it right for him I’m shore they have a shop they send their trucks to for add-ons and accessories

No, it was not on the sticker with VIN, but was on the order sheet from dealer. I didnt catch it right away either, which was on me as well.
