Has anyone seen this? Thoughts? Only concern is warranty claims. Watch the video seems well thought out.

I was thinking of picking something like this up for myself. Even if a ruined motor is covered under warranty, I will lose all the warm, fuzzy feelings for the truck after the stealership gets their grubby little hands on it. Yes, there are some good techs out there, but I for the most part don't trust dealership techs for much of anything mechanical.

With that in mind, I think the disaster recovery kit from the right manufacturer (SPE being one of them) is an excellent idea. It doesn't matter how many revisions a CP4 goes through; a CP4 is always a CP4. It's a good insurance policy against any damage the metal shards can do to the fuel injectors and motor.

The exofilter thing is kinda neat. The point of it is to keep the contaminants from going back to the tank and sitting there or clogging up the other filters. I might end up going with that kit in the future.

As far as fuel pump failures go, it's seemingly common enough to warrant concern, but they seem rare enough that I am putting the purchase on the back burner for now.

I like that idea, I’ll probably be buying one!

Watching this!

He says it’s an easy install, I just watched 2 videos on it!! Not easy
I thought it would be tough looking at the parts and the pictures.

Nice breakdown of the issue and this SPE filter as a possible solution

Nothing says its compatible with the 2020 so would be good to check before purchase. The first gen S&S bypass kit is not compatible with the 2020. Also no word yet on whether the second gen with the exo-filter is compatible either.

This is an interesting. My friend just wants to protect the 6.7. The friend wants to wait till they have a 2021 version of this, its "coming soon" https://www.spemotorsport.com/products/spe-motorsport-6-7l-powerstroke-disaster-prevention-kit
The friend also wants to install one of these:
My question is warranty, will this void my friend's warranty? Should that friend wait till the warranty expires and then install or could/would and dealer ever sign off on this being ok to install without voiding the warranty.
