Minus the aesthetic look, is there any other benefit to these?

From the SPE website:
BENEFITS:
  • Aesthetically appealing design
  • Low profile
  • Simple, quick installation
  • Black anodized
  • Guide holes/bores to aid with installation
  • Helps eliminate battery corrosion from forming under the holder
  • Billet, CNC machined from 1 piece of 6061 T6 aluminum
  • Retains factory hardware
“The anodizing also helps with eliminating the white corrosion build up that forms below the factory steel holder. Anodized finishes are not electrically conductive.”

I thought they were just to keep the battery held down while the truck rolls over🤣

They are nice looking.

The MFG states in the Benefits list that they help eliminate battery corrosion from forming, but after reviewing some of the pics in the Reviews on their site, it appears that corrosion does occur underneath them and affects the anodizing.
Plus, the MFG also states on their site to keep the battery fluid from contacting the brackets to avoid corrosion.

I guess the key word is"helps"?

Battery acid is corrosive to just about anything it contacts. These battery hold downs are strictly for looks under the hood.
