I'd like for the ground lights to the left and the right of front doors to stay on past 6mph. It helps with driving on trails at night. There's a DIY mod of jumping two wires together under the dash that is supposed to work for the Super Duty, but the video I found was for an F150 (think it's pretty similar). There's also a $50 adapter from Boosted Grey Goose Designs if I chicken out messing with a circuit board. Wondering if anyone has tried this yet.

@BoostedGreyGooseDesigns make a kit for it

I bought boosted kit.

^^ Yup, that's the $50 adapter I had linked as my backup plan.

I bought boosted one too super easy mod and works great for trails

Iv thought about buy Recon puddle light that is blue to go with the truck. But cant bring myself to spend 100 on cosmetics at this moment. lol

Questions for those who have installed boosted:
-How difficult to install? Where does it get installed?
-will it auto shut off after I exit the truck and lock it up?
-will it still come on when the trucks unlocked?

so this mod is for the “spot lights” not the puddle lights. Install takes about 2 minutes it installs right under the dash above gas pedal.
the install is 12volt constant so you have to turn the spots off again. This is different from the puddle lamps that come on when you open doors.

Thank you, but aren’t the puddle lamps the ones that shine down from the mirrors down to the road? Or are these the spot lights?

Puddle Lamps are at the bottom of the mirror and shine on ground when the door is opened or unlocked.

The spot lights are in the signal portion of the backside of the mirror and shine outwards.

@dinoone ahh thanks for breaking that down. I kept mixing them up.

? I thought they were the same light. :ROFLMAO: Guess I need to go out there tonight and check it out better. I think I want the puddle lamps to stay on too. Kind of like rock crawling lights that light up near your wheels without having to add LEDs in the wheel well.

Many thanks for the explanation!
