A little bit closer. It’s not his typical high clearance cut (with cut fenders), but it provides substantially more clearance than the factory setup does. And leaves the bed in tact while at it. I’m super pleased with the results.

So you are the one getting a bumper built by sob. I contacted him about a swing out bumper in November about an offering. Congrats looks awesome!

Yes sir I am. I was supposed to get my truck to him in late December, but due to a crazy work schedule I didn’t get it to him until February.

I've been told by a couple they don't like the "gap" between the bottom of the tailgate and the top of bumper. That gap is at minimal clearance to enable the tailgate to go down without contacting the bumper.

If you painted that area black it would just disappear.

Pretty stock but I am proud that after several hours I figured out how to make the 3rd brake light work on the topper. I know, chrome bumpers, "Boooooo"! LOL
The Green stripe matches my old boat and will be replace with a blue one to match the new boat next month.
