UPDATE 4/7:

Truck has been returned to the dealer. Does that make me the shortest duration tremor owner in the club? 7 Days.
I'm sick to my stomach, and it was very hard to do with a truck I waited since December 6th for and surprised my wife with...but I feel like it was the right call.

CA is a B*TCH to deal with but the manufactures make ways to get around these laws like the 68L package. In my case, i had a very nice salesperson, a very incompetent fleet manager and inventory manager who were not willing to admit they were wrong.
I'm glad they took the truck back, it was the right thing to do and they didn't have to do it.

I expected more today. I expected something along the lines of the owner I keep hearing about coming in and saying "we know how to make this right, were going to get you a '22 with 68L package and we're going to give it to you at the best price you could ever get" ...I didn't get that, i got a lackluster response from the salesman saying "let us know if you want to order another truck, we'll give you the x-plan even tho we aren't doing that for anyone because we can get $5k over MSRP"

I owe a big thank you to @soop who turned me on to another dealer that's within 2hrs of me. I spoke with the salesperson he recommended and they're going to order me the right '22 with the 68L...and whatever else I request...and honor x plan because of what has happened to me. I'm putting my order together tonight...

I think I might add wheel well liners and mud flaps... might delete the winch since i really don't want them messing with my truck anyway.

I appreciate the helpful feedback so many of you provided. I'm working on tremor 2.0.

UPDATE 4/6:

I think I’m taking the truck back to the dealer.
Bottom line is 11,500 in CA presents many complications including higher fees, stopping at weight scales and DVIR.

I’m sick to say the least.
PCO gone
Great interest rate at risk and many months of waiting all over again.

Any advice?

Hoping to get some help on this.
I ordered my F350 Tremor with the 11400 GVWR Package. It can with 11500 GVWR, and of course I finished all the paperwork and drove it home before noticing.

Dealer just said “you can’t get a tremor with an 11400 package.”

I don’t buy that becauth can buy a man F250 with the 11400 Heavy Duty suspension package.

Does anyone have an F350 with a 11400 GVWR package?

When I ordered (20MY) you could not order the Tremor package with the 11,400 GVWR package on an F350 diesel. The only derate available with the Tremor package was 10k. I live in CA so I ended up ordering an F250 instead. I actually had the dealer build a 350 with me on their ordering system and tried to select it but no dice...

Did you need 11400 vs. 11500 for registration? Is that a California limit?
At 11,500 in CA you have to pay a higher registration fee, put stickers on your truck doors listing its GVWR (called a CVRA sticker if you want to see one), and you are supposed to stop at all weigh stations (hence the stickers).

Whew - what a hassle.

OP, I’d make sure your dealer makes this right for you.

You got lucky. 11,500 in Ca results in more fees, stickers, truck stops etc. You are much better off. I ordered a f250 tremor to get out from under all the dmv crap on my current 11,500 f350

Yes CA STUFF

Lucky? I ended up with 11500 not 11400

There was someone on here who got one ordered, but the dealer had to enter it with the old ordering system, I think he said. You might want to go over to blueovalforums where there are lots of Ford dealer reps and Ford employees.
I think that was me. I ordered a F350 (non-tremor) and got the 11,400 package just to avoid any issues when our "leaders" in Olympia decide to out-crazy CA.

BTW, I looked at the code for CA, and I understood that non-commercial pickups got exempted from whatever you have to do if the GVWR is 11,500. I understood that the old-guy's lobby got the exemption because of all of the old RVers. But that was a while back and I did not save any notes.

OP is saying he wanted the 11400 GVWR, and the truck showed up with 11500 GVWR, so he's in the same pickle as you were.

Well if nobody has an 11400, and Ford’s website is incorrect, I guess I’m screwed.

If it's unacceptable you don't have to buy it. I know that's not what you want to do at this stage but you aren't stuck with it.

I'm in CA and have a 21 F350 6.7 Platinum Tremor with the 11,400 package. Your dealer is full of shit and just doesn't want to deal with it...they already made the sale.

Do you have documentation you ordered the 11,400 package? I don't believe there is anything that can be done at this point unless the dealer will take it back and order new.

You can go to DMV and derate your truck. My buddy had to with his F350.
Wondering if there is a way to up-rate a Tremor F250 payload/GVWR? Given the only difference in the Tremor F250/F350 suspension/capability is the door sticker. Would be nice to go from 10800 to 11500 on my 21 6.7.

It's theoretically possible to do this, but expect it to be a time consuming process with many dead ends and a lot of waiting.
