use a small jobbox but the sucker is heavy. want to be able to throw it in and out as needed.

roam looks cool. need water proof and dust proof.

I wanted something to fit under my backflip MX4 so I ended up with a ROAM box. The pelican wouldn’t work. I’m happy with the box so far. It’s weight is greatly outstripped by the junk I store inside ?.

couldnt get on board with the price of the pelican. i went with the roam 52 (i think 52..) for the price. should fit my basic tool bag and straps

I just went with the Roam 95 and 250. Should have them tomorrow so I’ll post an update. But I researched them over pelican. Roam won by price and the fact that every pelican is on back order right now.

Well I got the roam, for $200 bucks, I’m honestly not impressed. I would’ve priced this case at $75 tops.
Going to try to return it.

I got mine. Paid over 300.00 for each box. I think they are all over priced. Compared to Pelican the quality is the same but saved 100 per box. I don’t think it is a cheap quality at all.

No I agree, it isn’t cheaply made. I inherently like it- and if it served my purpose I would keep it. It’s Just not what I expected for the price.
I picked up some rigid tool boxes from Home Depot for $60 to get me by until I find what I’m looking for. they’re comparable quality, just uglier and not what I was hoping for.. I was really excited for the roam box but when I got it I was disappointed. If I had paid $75-100 I would say that it would’ve met my expectations. But $200 for a 52qt I expected more detail for $200.

pulled the box out again and decided to keep it. I still stand by my previous statements. I'm disappointed it didn't come with gas struts as well. and the fact that it can only take a tiny little lock. but i reorganized my gear to make it work. the lid quality and durability is great, its the body of the box that is the weak point paired with the buckles and lack of gas struts like their other models have. but it will serve its purpose. still think the price point should be lower for what it is but I guess im being nit picky

I really like the idea of the Pelican but it boggles my mind that it doesn’t have gas struts either (but has mounting holes?)

Also they’ve been sold out all year. Seems like they’re discontinuing.

Really really liked their mounting systems. I may have to fab one up for the roam. Hate having to tie it down with straps
