Remote extender. Anyone have experience with this?

I was browsing through some accessories and came across this little gem. It says that it will extend your remote up to 2500 feet. Has anyone tried this and does it really work? Is it difficult to install?

It can boost signal, however 2500 feet seems a bit much. This would depend upon how much wireless pollution is in your area, along with line of sight limitations. It would be cheaper to use the phone starting method for free and also not need to install anything. As long as you have service, and your truck has service it can start the truck for you from anywhere.
