So, now that it is warmer and dry, I am getting ready to do a couple minor mods to my Tremor.
- Upfitter switch add in the relay for 2-Lo (there is a crazy campsite that wife's aunt and uncle own that we have to back up hill and curl into the sites - all gravel)
- Wire in so the side spots can be run at any time - not sure if I will just tap into the hot lead at the module or hook to an upfitter for feed
- Add a set of rear led's and run off switch 5 or 6 for ability to have constant power
Question on the lights - I am looking at mounting them to the bottom of the receiver since it is nice and flat. I have searched to see if that would lessen the strength/integrity of the receiver and find every answer/opinion as to "no, done it and has worked for years" to "you better not because it will weaken the receiver too much." Only use the truck to bumper pull or yard waste trailer and TT (TT is about 7200 loaded) and if we were to go any larger on a trailer, it will most likely be a 5'er. Would the 4 1/4-3/8" holes in the receiver frame lessen the integrity to a degree that one should be worried? Yes, I know this is all just info gathering and if I choose to do it, it is my own choice, just trying to gather opinions one way or another. Option is always there to get some flat bar and make brackets too.
Thanks - Erik
