Hey all, I’m shopping for a Tremor and will likely end up having to order one and suffer the wait with the rest of you.

I’ve seen a few in dealer sites and the window stickers reflect a #10,000 GVWR on some 250s. Is that the highest a 250 Tremor with the 7.3 can have? If the GVWR option determines the thickness of the frame and it’s a very slight price change why would anyone not get the max? Does it affect anything else at all?

Ive been reading this site a ton and saw that the only difference between a 250 and 350 Tremor is the stickers and badging. Is that seriously true? The 1 ton doesn’t have Dana 60s vs 44s or something on the 250? They’re literally identical trucks? Again, everything I’m asking assumed the 7.3 gas

thanks for any help you guys can offer. Much appreciated!

Qualifying "on the Tremor" (excluding regular SD's), yes, only difference between 250 and 350 besides the badging and the door sill plate on the 7.3l trucks is the rear leaf springs. You get an extra leaf on the 350. Yay. Frame and axles and brakes and everything else is the same.

I currently have a 2004 3500 Ram diesel. The GVRW is the same as the F250 I just ordered.

if you have a tremor the leafs are the same on a F250 and F350 on the tremor only ... so only difference is the sticker and badging ... been talked about many times

Well, I ordered mine yesterday. On the lot were two Tremors side by side (f350/f250) and I had a pretty good look. I'll stand by my post. However, those were both diesels, not 7.3.

Are these 2021s? We have a thread in which everyone submitted pictures and part numbers of 2020s rear leafs in every sort of configuration. All were the same part numbers and same leaf counts gas, diesel, 250, 350 all the same. Be curious to see 2021 pics. You can find part numbers on fords website based on your vin number.

Back to the original post. The 10k option is a derating option. Only reason to choose that is if you live in an area where registration over 10k is financially something you don't want to do and you don't mind loosing 800lbs of capacity.

Most F250 Tremors are 10800 GVWR Diesel and Gas...........like my 6.7.....If it is 9900 or 10000 it has been derated by picking that during the ordering process...unless you aint towing and need to derate because of state laws...stay away from those options or trucks.

Both were brand new 2021 trucks just hit the lot a few days ago. I didn't take any pics, didn't have a reason to. I didn't pay any attention to the window sticker either looking for differences. Both were Lariats, one with blackout package.

That is interesting, it would be the first time anyone has seen a difference between 250 and 350 leaf springs on a Tremor, maybe some cost cutting for 2021s.

I found the thread you refer to and read through it. I can't rebut anything in that. I am just stating what I saw and have no explanation for it. It didn't occur to me that I was seeing something unusual.

I gotta go back in a few days. If they are both still there, I will take some pictures. One guy was already really checking out the F350 with the blackout package. It was Lithium Gray.

If you are building a F-350 with 6.7 on Ford's website, and you select the 11400 GVWR package, When the dealer orders, it will DEFAULT to 11500 gvwr for the F-350 Tremor 6.7 diesel.

Best thing to do is just stay away from the gvwr options, and you will get the highest gvwr for your particular Tremor build. Either 10800 (F250/350 7.3) OR 11500 (F-350 6.7)

I thought F250 7.3 is GVWR of 10k and the F350 7.3 is GVWR of 11300.

Yeah I don't doubt you as we did all the arguing about this subject last year and it was about 2020s. Maybe worth doing a check of 2021s since a few people have them now.

It's also only a matter of time before we see some fake Tremors out there. Sticker and wheels would be my guess. In my area there are a lot of fake Raptors running around.

11300 is the standard gvrw for the 7.3 f350.
I’ve been looking at the F250/F350 specs on the Ford site and in the Super Duty dealer booklet, what’s the best way to figure out what GVWR a build would be? I keep going between 6.7L and 7.3L because I’m unsure on the GVWR and towing ratings. Thanks!

That is a lot more straight forward. Thanks.
