Quality right there

a portion of the article reads, "................ if the driveshaft separates while the vehicle is in motion, there be a sudden loss of propulsion, which can increase the risk of a crash. It’s not clear if any crashes have been traced back to this issue."

I'll bet crashes are, indeed, directly associated with this "issue".

Shit happens that what recalls are for, Could happen to any manufacturer they may have had a bad vendor.

glad this one is not Ford

GM/chevy quality has been going down and cutting corners for past 5 years.

GM is turning out nothing but junk.
Father in law 2018 duramax 3500 high country is back in the shop for low coolant, inoperative dash gauges.

Brother in law's 2020 duramax Denali in shop 4x for trans issues, excessive engine knock, which turned out to be bad push rods!!! Covered under warranty but still!

I had a driveshaft break on me before while going down the expressway. Other than smacking the shit out of the under carriage it’s no big deal. I just took the entire thing off, threw it in the bed of the truck, threw it in 4 wheel drive and limped my way home.
