Purchase price locked in at time of order ?

I ordered a 2022 back in May, i was supplied with a order preview sheet, X-Plan pricing and agreed on a payment scheme w. the finance department. does this mean my price is locked in ? or can the dealer come back and raise the price when the truck arrives ?

I worry that with inflation picking up they can/will try some shenanigans.

Mine was ordered before everything went to shit (Aug 2020, rec'd Nov 2020), but both the sales manager and myself signed the price sheet and that is the price I paid. The only thing we didn't do was discuss possible trade because I wasn't sure what I was going to do with my 19 F150. Prices on used went up between order and delivery and I ended up getting what I paid for my year and a half old 150.

I would like to think that if both dealership and you have signed the price sheet, that it would stay the same, but who knows in our current state.

I would imagine if you signed the price sheet agreement you’re locked in. That be shady to try and change it

my dealer is a 3hr drive away so all i have are emails discussing and agreeing to a price, the x-plan would have been generated using my PIN. I received a generous x-plan or 7-8k CAD off (104K MSRP) and was offered a low trade in price for my 2018 f150. (47k)

in the email my sales manager said "if i could sell my truck for more that 47k to do it" i sold the truck for 57k a week later to a private buyer.. once that happened the "profit" he would have seen essentially evaporated.. now he isn't responding to my (1) emails enquiring about if i have a VIN.. i am going to cut out the middle man on Monday and call Ford Canada marketing directly. I don't want to repeatedly email/harass dealer and sour the relationship, rather just wait till it arrives, pay and move forward

I work for a major CDN oil producer, thats how i have the x-plan... i would hope that the dealer wont dick me around on agreed upon price.. i would file a complaint w. ford canada if they do.

I was worried about the same thing on my order. Because before it even went into production Ford started slowing/shutting down plants. Values in truck prices started skyrocketing and with the dealer I used marking up Msrp with an additional 3k dealer markup. 3 months down the road when the truck arrived they were honest and sold the truck at what I know was definitely a big loss to them. I figured if they were going to jack up the price on my truck I’ll walk away and they’ll have no problem selling above msrp to the next guy. Luckily I didn’t have to do that, so hopefully your dealers are the same. I also used the x plan for my purchase.

That’s good to hear because I also ordered from Kendall in Wasilla (I couldn’t help but notice from the pictures of your truck) and have had similar thoughts after I placed my order. They also accepted my X Plan and said they’d waive the additional 3k markup but nothing was in writing at the time of deposit.

Nice looking truck by the way. Ill keep my eye out for it and try to control my Tremor envy.
