My wife said NO! Then I talked her into, “Just not now.” When I retire, I will restore a classic truck similar to this one. Anyone have a highboy or other project they’re working on?

Yes, Sir! Lets chat.. ?? (74)
As much as I really like my new Tremor it doesn’t bring a smile to my face every time I fire it up like the 75 does.

edit:My previous post is awaiting mod approval. Pic from previous post. 75 f250 360FE 4speed manual.

Nice truck. Nothing like the classics. If the 360 in my truck wasn’t so rock solid I’ve recently kicked around the idea of dropping a new 7.3 Godzilla in but then I remind myself of how nice it is to work on the simplistic old school 4bbl engine.

66 F250 factory 4x4 w/factory flatbed. The cab is off a 63 because I rolled it when I was 20 or so. Went over 3 times, came to rest on its wheels, and I drove it home ?.
Over the years I added a disc brake front axle, custom power steering, air bags front and rear, new springs front and rear, and a 450 hp 390. It was worn when I got it, and it worked hard for me for over 30 years. Sold it to help buy the Tremor. Sad to see it go but I felt good about the buyer. FORDS FOREVER! ?

How did the Hedman headers hold up? I’ve put a few different brands on fe engines over the years and most rust. I was thinking about putting a good quality set on the 75. Most of my fe engines were owned in my younger years and typically couldn’t justify the funds to buy the parts I really wanted.

I was really impressed with the hedman headers. I had to cut and adjust the collector on one side, and they were a really tight fit. But they had a 3/8" thick flange that mounts against the head. As you surely know the FE's were prone to exhaust gasket leaks. I never had to mess with the hedmans, but I only had them on there for about 7k miles before I sold it. The finish was still holding up good, but they will of course eventually rust.

Good to know thanks for the info.

I upgraded the lights on the 75 to leds. It was so simple. Replace the old with new leds fixtures and away you go. So much brighter and the cutoff is perfect. Just another one of those things why is it so simple to upgrade lights on a 46 year old truck but a major pain on a new one. I don’t think the lights are horrible on the 21 tremor but it shouldn’t take a new harness, controller, housings, disassembling the front end and over 2k for a simple light upgrade.
