Hey all, looking to delete the chrome cap on the power running boards. Looking like it can just slide out with the end cap removed. Although it won't slide for me, lubed it up and still can get it to budge. Anyone done this and have tricks to get it off? Thx,

I am thinking about doing vinyl wrap to cover up the chrome.

This was one of the reasons I chose to stick with the stock Tremor running boards. I do not like Chrome on any of my cars, so the power running boards was going to require me to do something after I got it home. I agree with the others that wrapping it in black was my first thought vs trying to remove it.

Power is good as it’s lower then the raptor running boards that come on the Tremor and folds up a lot higher. I did paint mine, was just going to leaving the chrome cap off but didn’t like the look of the end caps with out the chrome cap. So removed them, was easy with a pry tool and heat gun to release the 3m. Currently curing before I reapply them. Was worried with wrapping as they get a lot of abuse from road debris and when getting in and out of the truck.

Post a picture of how it looks when you get it all done. :)

I like the Tremor boards as they will protect my sides from road grime and prevent door dings in parking lots.

Will do. And ya that’s true protecting the truck. We bought off the lot so came with them.
