Independent - I don’t align with either because both believe government is the answer. I would like a politician to come out and state they actually don’t know what is best for the individual and only the individual can be responsible for their actions, safety, and pursuit of their own happiness. And work to take the power away from DC and back to the home. I am more generous with my money than the government is with my money. But I am not give an opportunity to be generous because it is taken from my by force. I own rental property (not much) but half my renters haven’t paid rent since March. The local government took my property from me but let me with the bills by letting them stay in my homes without paying and I can’t even talk to them without being threaten with jail time and fines. And they wonder why hard working, tax paying families are mad.

It's really not that hard to understand. Think about all of the things that were once earned and sacred in the USA that are no longer in existence. Everyone gets a participation trophy and second guesses the battlefield general from their couch these days.

Basically, everything starts at home. Values have evolved into something that have become foreign and we're no longer part of a society where a man's word was all you needed. I could go on, but if you think about your question for a few minutes, the story will tell itself.
