Dealer texted me this morning that my winch was done and truck was ready!! I had an absolutely wonderful ordering experience. My sales guy was just fantastic. He also worked with me to get an amazing price on this purchase. If you’re in the Central Texas area and want an introduction, let me know!

I’m upgrading from a 2019 F-150.

Haha it’s hard to decide!! My list includes...

1) platinum linex bed liner
2) on board air
3) bakflip bed cover
4) bakbox
5) offroad lights (a.k.a. RV campground lights)
6) train horn
7) builtright rear seat release
8) builtright bed rack

Number 1 is scheduled for the first week in the new year. I travel with a generator for my RV, so I’ll probably skip OBA for now and do other upgrades like the bed cover since I can just keep running my pancake compressor off the generator

I’m also waiting on the trailer camera that I ordered. Likely that will be the first “mod” to get it wired into the trailer plug in the bumper.

I’m pretty excited about actually getting to use the upfitter switches soon!

So how do you deal with the front license plate with the winch?

My dealer didn’t have any immediate suggestions. They gave me this paper and said to try this once it’s back in stock. ?‍♂️

Sure will. I think it would be a lot of fun to try to do the on board air and the horns myself. If I tackle the project at some point I’ll be sure to post pics of the details!

My plan was to go with Viair’s new system...

Do you think I should consider the arb instead?

Awesome looking truck! I really like the black Platinum...

There is another member saying his dealer wants to charge him for the winch install. Did you have to pay anything extra for the install?

Thanks! I like that the chrome is a small amount of accents but not too much.

As for the the winch... Not a dime. I did generously tip the tech who did the install, but the dealership made it clear no payment or tip was expected.

You think the higher end LineX options are worth it? Not a loaded question. Struggling with that myself.

Purposely ordered my truck without the factory liner due to quality concerns.

I had linex premium on my last truck. It was awesome stuff. Linex Platinum is 30% stronger... for like $100 more. Seemed worth it to me. I have also heard from a couple shops that the materials for regular linex are a little short, so some shops are just moving entirely to platinum. Either way, I loved my last linex application - it looked great and held up very well even with a forklift scooting a pallet into my bed. If you live in central Texas, shoot me a message and I can connect you with my favorite shop.
Here is a pic of my previous linex premium.

So this is a full kit that you can't fuck up but I don't see a price ...but it's probably a pretty penny so after looking at it ... This is a full kit has everything you don't need to buy anything else where the arb you have to search for your parts ... So it come down what type of person you are ... Do you like building your owe kit or buying a ready to go kit ... Both brands have a good review ... Arb is just more famous because of the air lockers they make .... It's a air compressor .. they aren't hard to make ... And they normally last pretty long ... Ultimately it's up to you ... But they are both great options I personally love the idk of OBA but I don't want a tank that going to get hit or cut or something on the trails... But I also don't want to lose bed space ... But I like the idea of having a tank mounted on the side of the bed ... Idk what I want to do yet ... But love seeing everyone builds ... May steal one or two hahaha

I have the 480C in my Jeep it’s a great compressor and runs my ARB air lockers without issue plus allows me to air up in a reasonable time. Also have a 485C on the bench ready to add to the system.

I have the tank mounted underneath but I also plumbed it to an air manifold. I can close a valve and take the tank out of the system if desired, this would eliminate your concern if anything happened to the tank.

That is a really cool idea to be able to remove the tank from service. I think I’m gonna steal that one for sure!
